Chapter 8
We stepped out of the door after she said goodbye
to her father and her mom took a couple pictures. I whispered to
her "You look absolutely beautiful, babe." She blushed
and I opened the door for her. She stepped in the car and sat down.
When I got in the car I decided to start it and get on the road to
Kirsten's house. She lived about 30 minutes away. I was getting
prepared to start driving when she looked at me with a smile on her
face and leaned close to me. When we locked eyes I slowly leaned
forward and kissed her and she kissed back. We sat there for a
minute then we recollected ourselves and started to Kirsten's
house. When we got to the party Kirsten's family had decorated
the house with pink and white balloons and white streamers were
hung every where. Marissa and I walked through the oak tall doors
and we were greeted by our friends who asked us questions about the
photos we posted on facebook and thats when we told them that we
were going out. Lauren freaked out and started to hug Marissa, she
said to her "See! I knew he liked you!" I blushed and
took Marissa's hand as we walked to the back yard. There was a
big section covered in cement where tons of people were dancing,
and there was a section with a fireplace where people were cooking
weenies and roasting marshmellows. It looked like lots of fun, and
Marissa and I went to talk to some kids we saw at the park the
other day and some people came up and asked us if we were dating
and I answered them by saying "Lets just say, Marissa is mine.
You can't have her!" Marissa smiled and ruffled my hair.
She was so beautiful. I don't understand how girls can think
that they're not beautiful. Marissa had this goddess-like face.
And locks of hair that anyone would die for. I just knew from the
second I laid eyes on her, that we would be together forever. As I
was zoning out thinking about her, she tapped my arm and we walked
to the dance floor and slow danced to 'Two is better then
one' and I never wanted to let her go. We danced so perfectly
together and when the party ended I drove her home and told her
that I'd see her tomorrow morning at 9, to leave on our
roadtrip. She said goodbye and left. I felt like the luckiest guy
in the world.
