What's so wrong with the whole school knowing? If you really liked her, you wouldn't care what the whole school thought. Don't worry about the school knowing you like her, worry about HER knowing you like her. She should be the only thing that matters.

Seriously, do it. My school's doing the same thing and I haven't gotten a single one and one of my friends got fourteen so far. It makes me feel so unloved especially since I was there when she got 13 of then and read the cards. :/
