love is love.... why try to stop it? it's never worked in the past. love is real, love is unstoppable, love is amazing, and if two people can find it in each other even if they are the same , lucky them. they're better off than most of the straight couples out there. :)

and about the whole 20 & 60 year old thing ; my 23 year old sister is engaged to a 58 year old man but its not about the money ; he doesnt have much he makes a normal income and they live with my grandma to take care of her ; at first I didnt like their relationship I thought it was weird and gross but my sister loves him and thats all the matters to me ♥

Xobri96Xo: Yes, incest can lead to birth defects. And a 60 year old man and a 20 year old woman would be shunned because of today's society. Scientifically, man and woman only get together to have to reproduce diverse offspring. As long as his nads are working and her ovaries are making eggs, then them being together isn't wrong, according to science, so long as they're producing offspring.

my great uncle is gay and I love him (; he had a partner for like 35 years until he died 3 years back he was devasted but anyway they did everything a man a women did and trusted each other and took care of eachother

To Failure,
If a 60 year old man wants to be with a 20 year old girl(vice versa), a good chance, that it's only for the money. That is the only way I would see a problem with that. However, if the two really did love each other, I don't see a problem with it.
For the brother and sister think:
It's not about them loving their sibling, but the medical problems. If the siblings wanted to make a family, it is very risky. If I am correct, having a child with your sibling could cause birth defects (I'm no scientist) because somethings have too many, or something. I'm not completely sure.

for all the people that are saying love is love,
if love is love then why do you have a problem with a 60 year old man going out with a 20 year old girl? if love is love then why do people think its gross to marry your brother or sister?

Don't criticize Catholics, the Catholic church, or the Bible until you know EXACTLY what it is that they believe. The Catholic church has nothing against gay/lesbian people. They are NOT shunned or prevented from coming into any church, or whatever people are saying they do. Catholics believe that marriage is only for a man and a woman because marriage's purpose is for procreation because Catholics (or some, at least) don't believe in before marriage. And we all know two guys or two girls can't procreate.

I'm not saying I'm against gay marriage. At all. I just wanted to get the REAL Catholic view on the issue out there to set the record straight. :] Sorry for this long and most likely boring mass of text. haha

Just for the record, people shouldn't be relating SEXUAL orientation to LOVE.

Homosexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality are about , not love. Who says you can't fall in love with the personality of someone without being attracted to their gender? If you were blind, gender wouldn't matter at all. So yeah, love is love, but it doesn't relate to the sexuality labels. A man can fall in love with another man but still be attracted to women. That makes things awkward, but he's still hetero and still wants to marry another man.

being a devote catholic i was raised and taught that marriage is between a man and women, alothough i don't mind gays, theres nothing they can do about it. but i would never criticize a gay couple. please don't hate me for sharing my opinon :/

Love is love. Why should it ever matter if a woman loves a woman. I'm actually bisexual. I don't tell anyone but my close friends, I correct them when they say the word gay for improper use. I don't see why people are against it. And if it is your religion, why not go ahead and be the bold on in the crowd and be okay with it. In my opinion, I think the people in church pulled this out of their . Because people have come to believe that God is a peaceful and accepting man, if that is true, why would he be against Gay? In my opinion, although I'm Atheist, he wouldn't be. If anything, we should give Gay/Lesbian and Bisexual people props for being able to come out of the closet, if they choose to, because for the most part, people are judgmental and will tend to give them a lot of .

Why shouldn't gay people have the same right to love as anyone else? Love is love. If you're the same sexes or opposite sexes, then why should it matter? @MJnDM - Hating people because of their sexual preferences isn't right, not gay marriage.
