Who Can I Trust?
Part

"I'm Dan," he
said.
"Sophia," I replied.
We smiled at each other for a second.
"So do you go to our school?" I asked.
"Yes."
My face turned bright red.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I... I've just never seen you
before."
He laughed. "It's fine." There was a pause.
"I actually heard about the break up between you and Tim.
Sorry about that."
"It's no big deal," I said, putting my head down.
"High school relationships usually never last
anyway."
He walked toward me and put his hand on my shoulder.
"That's not true," he said softly.
His words rung in my ears, until Samantha interrupted my
thoughts.
"We're playing spin the bottle!" she yelled.
"Let's go!"
Then she ran out in front of us and disappeared into the living
room.
Dan and I walked in together, and everyone was in a circle.
"That's a big circle," Dan whispered. I laughed. We
sat down where we could find an empty space. Dan was about 15
people away from me, and Sam was on my right.
About three people spun the bottle. Then it was Dan's turn. I
was hoping that it'd land on me. Instead, it landed on the
girl to my right. I forgot for a second who was there. I turned
and saw Samantha, a smile from ear to ear, standing and getting
ready for the kiss I deserved.
I stood and walked out of the living room. Everyone saw
me leave.

I can't say I was jealous. I mean, I barely know the kid.
But we were talking and he's so cute and I just... I
don't know. And the smile on her face made my blood boil! She
knew I wanted the bottle to land on me! She didn't care! She
was just happy that she got a kiss! How selfish! I feel like she
somehow interfered with the outcome. What are the chances! It is
like Sam to try to ruin things for me. She has before.
