At my school, its not really about what you wear. My close friend is filthy rich.she wears brand name EVERYTHING. but shes nott popular. i have uggs, hollister, aero, brand name stuff,&im pretty popular.but at my school theres popular people who arent rich, its based on your attitude &how nice you are,my school isnt too cliquey.

Ok I'm sorry if this insults anyone gosh I mean I actually have a lot of stuff on there like a pandora and some coach bags and a north face etc. But I do have friends too I'm not popular and I don't try to be. I'm just saying that now a days people try to buy what everyone else has which is fine and most popular people do have all this stuff but all the popular people I know have something called character. Even is sometimes they cause some drama they are popular because they are nice, friendly, social people. I'm not trying to hate or anything, so I'm sorry if this insults anyone or if you take this personally.

Okay, i agree and disagree. 1, you're right, that doesn't put you at the top of your school. but 2, i wear all of that stuff not expecting anyone to care. So it goes both ways. Maybe they like what they're buying and have the money

popularity isn't based on what you wear. it's based on who you are, and your personality. people buy that stuff because they like it. yes kohls has the same stuff, but they might not like how it fits compared to abercrombie. people buy stuff because either they like the way it fits, how it looks, or how they feel wearing it. not to become "popular"

This is true, though my class doesn't neccessarily have 'cliques' or groups there are still those types - 5 pairs-of-Ugg boots, 3-pandoras and 5,000 Abercrombie tracksuits and really it just shows they're insecure about their place but I don't really blame some for trying to fit in because I think we all feel the need to fit in sometimes. I wouldn't wear something just because it would get me 'in' with the 'popular' crowd. Popularity should be based on who you are and the person you are, not the clothes you wear or the trends you follow.
