There for Me
Chapter 2
 

      I turned to see Jordan, practically rolling on the floor laughing. When he realized I was looking at him he came over to me.
      "Nice burn," He said sticking his fist out. I looked at his pearly smile. Then I shifted my chocolate brown eyes to his sky blue ones. I went week in the knees and I had to shake my head to clear my thoughts.
      "Thanks." I said as I bumped my knuckles against his. "She... she was bothering me." I felt pathetic explaining this to him, like a 5 year old kid snitching on the bratty girl who stole my crayons.
      The bell rang. Jordan and I both looked at each other then back to Mrs. Atkinson's desk as she was putting her stuff down.
      "I'll see you after class okay?" Jordan said backing away with a smile on his face. I felt heat creeping up the back of my neck towards my face. I lowered my eyes to the floor, smiling shyly, and nodded yes.
      Jordan turned and walked to his seat. I sat down in my own chair and pulled out the previous night's homework.
      I was still smiling from Jordan's approval on what I said to Leslie. "If only he liked me."
