     BRRIINNNNGGG!!!! I moan as I hit the snooze button on my alarm clock. I lie back down in bed and try to get a last few minutes of sleep. Until I remember what day it is; the first day of school. Senior year to be exact. I hop out of bed and rush over to my closet. What to wear, what to wear, what to wear.....
     Gotcha! 15 minutes later, I was dressed and ready to go in my dark skinnies, black ballet flats, white v-neck, black blazer and a dangly neckelace. I swiped on an extra layer of mascara and some more lip gloss. Perfect. I grabbed my bag from my room and turned off my radio as I made my was downstairs.
     I walked in to the kitchen to be extremely surprised. "Hi...mom?" I said uncertainly. It was extremely rare for me to see my mom here, her being such a workaholic. But the extra burst of surprise was that it wasn't just the two of us. A man, I'm guessing around late 40s, early 50s, was sitting at the counter.
     "Honey! Umm....this is Rob. We are working on a project together at the firm. Rob, this is my daughter, Katie."
     He smiled at me as he replied, "Hi, Katie."
     "Umm....hi," I said as I walked over to the fridge and got a bottle of water and a breakfast bar. I heard the unmistakable honk of a car horn outside. Taylor. I walked to the front door as my mom said goodbye to me. My reply was the door slamming.
     I walked down the front walk and smiled at him as I got in the car. "Hey," he smiled.
     "Hi," I smiled back. He grabbed my hand after I put my seatbelt on. He locked the doors and stepped on the gas as we sped off towards our Senior Year.
