Kiss You: Chapter Twenty Six
Emily's P.O.V
“Bye mum. See you tomorrow,” I hung up after saying goodbye to my mum over the phone. We were going to meet up tomorrow for dad’s birthday. Liam was coming with me, obviously.
Yes, at first, my parents didn’t like our relationship, they didn’t trust me with a boyfriend, especially a famous one, and they didn’t like how I was getting so much attention from people, good and bad. But now, they’ve gotten used to it and they’ve seen how much Liam cares about me; how he would never ever let anyone or anything hurt me and how he has right and true intentions. He’s just a good guy. I love him. Simple as that.
A few weeks ago, Angie called me and she is actually four months pregnant, and she and Brad couldn’t be happier. Mum and dad are pleased and are excited too. I’m going to be an aunty so that’s pretty exciting as well. Angie’s already calling Liam the uncle, even though technically he’s not yet. Not that I mind, and I don’t think he does either.
Anyway, Liam is my best friend as well as my boyfriend. He’s always there for me, and I try super hard to return the favour. I miss him so much when he’s gone on tour and work commitments, so we treasure the time we get together. His kisses and cuddles can do wonders when I’m feeling sad or annoyed or stressed. Even if I’m mad at him, all he has to do is kiss me and I won’t be anymore. It took him close to a year to figure it out, and that’s only because I accidentally let it slip one night, but it’s now his secret weapon. If I’m being a little b.tch because I’ve had a bad day, he just presses his lips onto mine and I feel more upbeat. If I’m stressing out or over-reacting, he’ll kiss me and then sit down and talk me through what I need to do, even if he doesn’t quite understand himself. If we’re in a fight, and I feel like walking out, he just holds me and kisses me and I’ll calm down. It’s really quite amazing. And, I’ve found that when I massage his shoulders and back, it has the same kind of effect on him. It relaxes him and calms him down.
I honestly got so lucky with him. He is the sweetest thing.
Liam was out at the studio today so I was at home by myself. I laid down on the bed, on my stomach, and got out my laptop. I checked Twitter for a few minutes, then random websites for an hour or two. I got a text from Liam and saw that the time was six o’clock.
Just leaving now. Be home soon babe xx
I smiled and outstretched my arms, deciding to play on my phone until he got home. I put my earphones in and listened to my music while going through, and studying some, of my photos until I saw something out of the corner of my eye, causing me to look up from my screen. Liam stood there, leaning on the door frame, smiling. I pulled my earphones out.
“Hey baby,” Liam said.
“Hi,” I said back smiling. “How long were you standing there?”
He shrugged and walked in, crouching in front of me on the floor at the end of the bed, “Maybe thirty seconds. Not long.” He leaned forward a little and pecked my lips.
“How’d recording go?” I asked him as he got off the floor and walked into the wardrobe.
“Yeah, good,” he said pulling his grey shirt off over his head. I scanned his back as he went through the clothes trying to find another one. I checked the time again; it was now 6:45pm. Then I locked my phone and stood up off the bed, straightening my dress. I wrapped my arms around his waist and kissed his back. He turned around and kissed my forehead.
“How was your day?” he asked.
I nodded, “Good. I spent the last few hours in here though,” I said with a laugh, then rested my head on his bare chest.
“Do you know where my white T-shirt is?” I felt his chest vibrate as he talked.
I smiled and lifted my head off his chest. “Maybe it’s in the bathroom,” I suggested.
He hummed in agreement and let go of me to check the bathroom. He walked back out with the T-shirt hanging from his hand. He shook it slightly to show me he found it then slipped it over his head. The white contrasted perfectly with his light tan skin.
“Did you want your pants too?” I asked knowing he was getting dressed in his pyjamas.
He nodded, “Thanks honey.”
I lifted his pillow and grabbed his plaid pants, then threw them at him. He caught them and turned away from me, unbuttoning his pants and stepping out of them as they crumpled on the floor. I got a good view of his back and Calvin Klein’s before he turned around to face me again after pulling the pants on.
“Liking the view, Em?” he asked pulling the string of his pants.
I didn’t answer, and he just laughed, as I crawled onto our bed to get my pyjamas from under my pillow. I quickly got changed in the bathroom and Liam was lying on the bed when I came out.
“Are you tired?” I asked tossing my clothes in the hamper.
He half nodded, “A little. I’m alright.” He stood up off the bed and hugged me again.
“Why don’t you go to bed now?” I suggested, knowing he was tired.
He thought for a few seconds and finally spoke, “Okay. But only if you stay here with me.”
“Okay,” I agreed and he went and pulled back the covers on our bed. “Do you want a cup of tea or something?” I asked him.
“Yes please,” he said looking up for a second, smiling. I went out to the kitchen and quickly made us both one. As I walked back in, he immediately took the hot drink from my hand and put it on his bedside table.
We stayed up for a few hours talking and laughing until he got unbearably tired. “Night, Li,” I said quietly snuggling into him.
“Good night.”
