*Prologue*
I rolled out of bed on a cloudy Sunday morning, hoping my mom would forget what today is. I tumbled down the stairs, more asleep then not, and walk into the kitchen to see my mom sitting at our small breakfast table with a huge smile spread across her face.
“You know what today is!” My mother exclaimed, in a voice much too loud for this early in the morning.
“I was hoping you forgot.” I moaned.
“How could I, silly! It’s just the most important day in your life! The Sweet Tea Pageant! Oh, darling, I’m so excited!” My mom squealed.
All my life, my mother has been waiting until the day I could compete in this pageant. She was “Miss Sweet Tea” when she was my age, and all she wants is for me to follow in her footsteps. All year we have been practicing, preparing for something I don’t even want to do. But once my mom gets an idea, she is impossible to stop. And since my birth, it was decided I was to win this pageant. So basically, my whole life was based around an event. Not even an event. A pageant. And my fate was going to be sealed in less than twelve hours. Great.

There was a girl who grew up with only her mother and the mother only had one eye. The girl was always embarassed so she told her mother to stay away from her if they go anywhere outside of the house. Prologue
"Stella!----Stella!---STELLA!!!!!!. Get down stairs now!" my mother yelled.
I brushed me perfect white teeth. I brushed through my long black/brown hair.
"Mom, I dont wanna go to school." I moaned.
"Look, I dont wanna hear it. Get dressed & take you & your brother to school."She said.
"Ok, but after school I'm going to Zac's house." I spoke lightly
"Whatever. I guess you want your pregnant mother to drive & get your sister after school." She spoke in a mean tone.
She never liked my boyfriend Zac. But, ever sense my Dad left us she didnt seem to care for me much. I love her & She loves me. But not as much as she used too...
I quickly ate & ran upstairs. I put some black flats on & a cute sundress. I added cute accescories & applied bright eyeshadow & light pink blush & light pink lipstick.
"ASHLEY, LETS GO!" I yelled. I saw a bothersome look on my mothers face.
I dropped Ashley off at school [2nd Grd]. I walked into school going to my locker. I sawa door slam beside me. It was Zac. He looked.... annoyed. As usual...
"Hey sexyy. You lookin fine!" He said trying to look cool infront of his friends.
"Ugh.." I walked away.
*AFTER SCHOOL*
I drove to his house behind him. We walked in I waved to his parents & went straight to his room. He looked as if he was in a hurry. He sat on the edge of the bed.
"Whats wrong?" I said shrugging.
"You made it seem like I have a b/tchy stupid f/ckin girlfriend. GOD. I WISH YOU WERE HOT LIKE THEIR GIRLFRIENDS & A CHEERLEADER & A PARTIER!"He yelled.
"Okay, whats going on? I've never seen you like this!" I yelled.
You'd think after a year of being together I would've seen him like this...
He punched me in the face & punched my hip. Right in the middle someone walked in.
