No Escape
Chapter 1
"Shut up you little brat!" my dad said as he shoved me against the wall.
"I'm sorry daddy..." I said, hot tears running down my face.
"Quit crying, baby. You know it never does any good. Now go to your room." he said, as I could smell the beer on his breath.
I couldn't move, although I heard his piercing voice, still ringing in my ears.
He pushed me down and slapped me.
"Did you not hear me?! I said go to your room, stupid! Now go!" he yelled at me.
I nodded, tears now pouring out on my face. It felt like boiling water was being poured down my face it was so hot.
I stumbled to my room, finding my sister where I told her to be. As soon as she saw my face, red and soaked in tears, she bursted out crying.
"Aimee... I'm so sorry..." she cried out, as I went over and hugged her.
"Mads... Don't be." I said, forcing a smile so she wouldn't get even more sad.
"But-but d-dad is always mean to you, and y-you don't deserve it.." she said between sobs.
"Sshhh it'll be okay." I said, hugging her.
"I wish mom was back..." she whispered.
I tried to say me too, but no words came out. I only hugged her tighter.
My dad isn't always like this. He's only abusive when he drinks, which is when my mom is away.
Which she almost always is, because she's a business woman, and she travels often.
My dad made us promise that we would never tell ANYONE or he would hurt me even more.
Only me.
He loves Maddie with all his heart, but he absolutely hates me. It's because I'm the youngest, and he didn't want me.
He always tells me I'm worthless, and that I shouldn't be here. And believe me, sometimes I wish I wasn't here.
But that would only be giving him what he wants, and I'm never going to do that, at least as long as I stay strong.
I sighed.
Sometimes I feel like there's no escape.
