Hidden
Her fingers dance across the keyboard; tap, tap, tap. The words are flowing like a river in her mind, hidden behind the jungle of her thoughts. They come to her with ease and grace, yet she slams down the keys, maybe hoping that by doing so, the keys will feel the same pain she does. It's a jumbled mess on the page. Nothing makes sense. Even she herself doesn't understand what she wrote. But she knows the emotion behind it.
"It's useless!" she thinks. Her empty, cold eyes stare at the computer screen in frustration. "Why is it so hard for me to express how I feel?! Why can't I just let it all out!!!?!?!?!" Her anger got the better of her and she slammed her fists onto the desk. Pain shot through her hands, up her wrists and arms. She glanced down at her arms, and immediately her eyes fell to the scars. They explained why she was so confused, why she had so many issues, why she couldn't describe her pain. The memories behind those scars haunted her.

She remembered it like it was yesterday. It was September 3rd. Her clock said 12:04 am. Her insomnia kept her awake til all hours. Finally, around 3:07, she began to doze off. And that's when the doorbell rang.
Her parents woke up and went downstairs. She hid on the stairs to see who it was. The cops!!! The bright lights shined, making her dizzy. The cop spoke in a deep, muffled voice but she heard every word that he said.
Her tears were imposible to hold back.
Soon the cop asked, in a clear voice, to speak with her.
"Kayla? I have a few questiosn for you."
And so, the long, painful, and tear- filled journey began.
The cop questioned her, but gently so not to cause her anymore pain.
Tt didn't matter how he said it though.
Each question was like a knife in Kayla's heart.
One after one, the questions were asked and soon, she couldn't breath.
The tears were choking her up.
The cop pulled out a piece of paper in a bag, and handed it to Kayla.
As she read it, her tears slid off the police's evidence bag.
Inside of it was a note written for her, from her best friend, Selena.
It was a suicide note....
