Chapter 70
--Part 1--
Fergie's P.O.V
Christmas music played at medium level in the large living room of my home. My little get together party had started about an hour ago, and everyone was here. Everyone except the one person I wanted here the most, Josh.
I sighed, and sat on my white leather sofa. I guess I shouldn't of gotten my hopes up, he didn't seem that excited about the idea of him coming last night. My heart sank even lower into my stomach. What an idiot I was, why did I even bring up the idea? It made him feel uncomfortable and now he wants nothing to do with me. Idiot!
I felt the sofa sink down, as someone sat down next to me. I looked up expecting Will's face, but saw Taboo's instead.
"What's wrong?" he asked, scrunching his eyebrows together.
I bit my cheek. I didn't tell anyone Josh was supposed to come, I was afraid of how they would react. Well, I have nothing to loose now, it's obvious he's not coming.
I took a deep breath, and explained, "Josh was supposed to come tonight. I visited him last night and invited him over."
Tab tilted his head like a confused puppy, "Why would you ivnite a guy you hate over to your house?"
I let out a sigh, as I fumbled with my fingers, "Hate is a very strong word Taboo."
He sat still, glaring at me. It sent a shiver down my spine.
"Don't you dare think about crushing Will, Fergie."
"No!" I cried, "Not like that! I mean... He's alone. It's Christmas, I figured he needed a family to spend it with. You know his family lives in North Dakota."
He broke eye contact with me, and rapidly tapped his fingers on his tall but thin champange glass. I knew he was thinking. Thinking whether he should be on board or not.
"Don't hold your breath, he's not coming anyway." I said more harshly then I meant to.
I saw a quick flash of hurt in Taboo's eyes, as he looked at the ground, biting his lip.
"Tab, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that." I gushed, feeling guilty.
He opeaned his mouth to speak, but was cut off by the sound of my doorbell. He waved his hand, signaling me to answer it. I rose to my feet, and made my way over to the front door.
I swung it opened, and was towered over by a large man, who was dressed up, but not too much.
I smiled, as Josh stood there, with a bag in his hand. It looked like a gift for someone.
"You came." I finally said, beaming. He gave me a shy smile, and nodded. He held out the bag, that was popping out red and green tissue paper, "This is for Macy."
I smiled, and gripped the bag in my hand. "You didn't have to, we're literally gonna be opening up presents for her until Valentine's Day." I joked.
I heard him slightly chuckle, then his eyes looked passed me, and into my lving room. His smile vanished, and I could see he was uncomfortable, even somewhat frightened.
I looked behind me, and every adult was staring at Josh, like he was some alien from Mars.
The place was silent, not counting the music coming from the radio. My eyes landed on Will, who looked scared, being haunted by the bad memories.
I heard Josh sigh, as I turned back to him, "I told you no one would want me here.." he whispered.
He brushed his hand against my cheek, "I'll see you around Stace.." then he started his way down my walkway. I stood there and watched him leave, feeling awful.
"Stacy, honey.." I heard my mom start, "What was that about?"
