Chapter Twenty-Seven
Carly and I arrived back at my house and immediately started to get ready for Luke's party. We kept it casual with some jean shorts gladiators a cute tank top with our swim suit underneath and just put my hair into a curly ponytail. Before we knew it was time for Luke's. I was nervse i was going to a party where i new one person. Great. "Maybe we shouldn't go." I said over to Carly while driving over to the party. "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't miss this for my life. Plus, now you can meet more people for school." I shrugged and soon we were pulling into the driveway. His house was large, like mine, and it was super pretty. "Ready?" Carly asked while pushing the doorbell. "Well, I guess i have to be." I said sticking my tongue out at her right when Luke answered the door. "Hey Luke"Carly said while stepping into his house. She was always the more outgoing one. "Hey" He said smiling and staring at me. "Beautiful house you have." I said. "Thanks well everyone is out by the pool." He said while leading us through the house then outside where there was a pool that was over looking the beach. There were people everywhere. Heck, if this was a small party i don't want to see what a big one is. There were girls sitting around on lounge chair talking and a bunch of guys in the pool and a random amount of people scattered everywhere. They all started as they saw Carly and I walk out on to the pool deck. I turned to Carly to give her the I was right look when i sensed someone standing next to me. "Hi, I am Katie. You must be new here?" I a very sweet looking with blonde hair asked me. "Hi, I'm Bria and this is Carly. And yeah I just moved here this summer." I said back. "Well, let me go introduce you to the other girls." Katie said leading us over to the group of girls on the lounge chairs. I looked to Carly who shrugged her shoulders and urged me to follow. We got over to the group of girls who all introduced themselves and seemed really friendly. "So, Bria were are you originally from?" A girl named Caitlin asked me. "A small town in Alabama." I said. "Well I love your name and that accent is not anything to hide." Another girl added. "Thanks" I said. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad i thought.
Luke's POV
"Dude, where did you pick up those chicks?" my friend Ryan asked me. He was talking about Bria and Carly. "I ran into them on the beach." I said still staring at Bria. "Damn, there fine. Well, are you going to introduce me or not?" Ryan asked. In response i got up from the edge of the pool and walked with him over to where Bria and Carly were sitting and talking. "Bria, Carly this is my friend Ryan. Ryan this is Bria and Carly." I said. "Very Nice to meet you Ryan." Said Bria sticking out her hand to shake. "The pleasure is all mine." Said Ryan. Then Bria smiled that beautiful smile of hers and i melted. "So, Bria are you enjoying California so far?" Ryan asked. "Well, it's alright so far but see your friend here hasn't really shown me around to well." Said Bria looking over at me. "Well you see Luke here doesn't get out much. He always to busy for anything." Said Ryan. "Coming from the guy who spends most his time indoors playing COD." i said backfiring at Ryan. " Do you see me indoors now?!" said ryan. Then I heard a familiar voice calling my name. "Luke, why don't you come over here" Said Sam, a girl who always thought we had something as in a relationship but i would never in my life. I walked over to where she was standing "Oh, Hey Sam" I said. "It seems like we haven't seen each other all summer. we should change that." She said while grabbing my hand and playing with it while her other one was placed on my shoulder. "Yea,it's been awhile." I said in agreement but then she kissed me. I turned around to where Bria was facing and she had a disgusted look on her face and started to walk off. Great. How was i going to explain this one.
