Guys or Death?
Chapter 43
We looked through pictures, yearbooks, I drew on some paper. I hung the paper on his desk, so he could see it. It said: Zach<3 Alex Loves You(:
I flipped through his yearbooks from different schools. I laughed a lot. It was funny!
"Oh my gosh, you look so cute in the picture!" I said pointing to his yearbook picture. It was the 7th grade. We have been friends every since the 8th grade, when he moved here.
"I look like an idoit!"
"No you don't! You were so cute," I said laughing and he was getting embarrassed.
"Whatever."
I got something to eat at his house, and we lied in his bed eating.
We juss stared at each other, like always.
He stroked my hair, and I stared in his beautiful blue eyes.
"Zach, why don't you have a girlfriend?" I asked while we stared at each other.
"I don't need one."
"I'm surprised you don't have one. I thought the girls would be all over you."
"No, I guess not."
"Why not? Have you ever been asked out?"
"Yeah, I have. A couple of times."
'Why didn't you say yes?"
"Because, I have you."
"I have a boyfriend."
"I have a bestfriend."
"You need company."
"I don't mind being alone."
"I want you to grow up, have a family, with kids."
"You're worrying about my future?"
"I guess. I would like to see my bestfriend get married, and have kids I guess."
"Awwww."
"So is there another reason why you didn't say yes?"
"Well, for some reason.. nevermind. It's too much."
"Tell me!"
"You'll think I'm thinking the wrong way. And it's nothing. I would hate to tell you, since you have a boyfriend."
"Please? I want to know. I don't think I'll take it weird."
"Fine."
"Yay!"
"Well, I never said yes to the girls who asked me out because, I thought one day we would be together," he said looking ashamed and dropped his eyes from mine.
"Zach, I juss.. I'm sorry," I said and got closer to him to hug him tight.
"There's no reason too be."
"Yes! I should have known. I was stupid to not notice that!"
"I didn't make it noticeable. I juss tried to be a good friend."
"You have been and will be! I love you, still."
He stayed still, and I started to sob.
"Why are you crying?" he asked my in my ear. We were close and we stayed still.
"Because, I love you. And I made you not have a relationship. I never told you anything that meant more than friends."
'No, it's not your fault. It's mine for thinking that in my head. For not going out with anyone, because you were the only one in my head."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I repeated over and over and kissed him.
He meant the world to me now, and I cared for him so much.
"I love you," he told me.
I kept crying softly and kissed his lips softly. He was so warm, and I got his shirt wet. He had to change. I went in his bathroom and fixed my makeup, and we left for the hospital.
While we walked downstairs to the door, I held his hand in mine. Before we got in the car, I hugged his waist and kissed him once last time.
I drove and he sat in the passenger seat. He held my hand the whole time. We were silent.
We reached the hospital and I saw the same lady.
"Alex, how are you?"
"I'm getting better. School is starting soon! And Jayden is coming home today."
"Oh, that's wonderful! I wish the best of luck to you! That's what I heard. I'm happy for you and him."
"Thanks."
We went to his room, and he smiled at us.
'Baby, you came."
I went over to him, and kissed his lips. He was so bright and well.
"Yeah, of course I did. You are getting out today, so yeah."
While we kissed, I thought how big of a pain it was for Zach to watch me, after how many times I kissed him, how we stared into each other's eyes, how many time I said I love him.
I let go by thinking of him, and brought Zach over here.
"Jayden, this is Zach."
"Nice to meet you, Jayden."
"Nice to see you too, Zach."
They shook hands and we pulled up a chair to sit down.
"What time are you coming home?" I asked.
"Like in an hour or so."
"Oh,that's nice."
"Yeah, I can finally sleep in my own bed."
"I know! It's been a while."
"Yeah."
"I need to check on Mel soon. I haven't talked to her in a while. And tell my parents how the party went."
"How is Mel?"
"Good, I guess. I caught her and John in her room, sleeping on the floor. I know they didn't do antyhing. She is only 12."
"Aww! That so sweet."
"I know, and they kissed!"
"That's amazing!"
"Yeah."
Zach wasn't speaking at all. I bet he felt so out of place. Jayden was coming home with us, and I didn't want Zach to leave me.
We were all quiet for a minute, and the nurse came in and told us we had to leave. Jayden needed last check-ups and other stuff, before he left.
I kissed Jayden for like 3 seconds and then I got up. He gave me a confused face, and I juss smiled and waved.
Zach and I headed for my car.
"What was that, Alex?"
"What?"
"You didn't even kiss him long, or say goodbe, or I love you."
"Why were you being so observant?"
"Answer my question first."
"I don't know!"
"Alex, if this is causing to much, then we can't hang around for a long period of time. Ever since last night, you don't care about Jayden as much."
"No! Please, please still be my friend. I can't loose you. How would you know?"
"Your facebook status, every time I texted you like weeks ago, you had to go because you were with Jayden. "
"Zach, I don't know! I don't see him the same way anymore."
"He hasn't changed a bit, you have."
"I've changed? Oh please."
"Alex, juss tell me. What is on your mind right now?"
I paused and stared in his eyes.
"You."
