The wind blew through my california beach blonde hair as i looked to the sunset. The waves crashed as the sand tickled my legs. I looked at the empty spot next to me and sighed. I hadn't had a boyfriend in a while so it made me sad that i couldnt share this moment with anyone. I sat up and brushed the sand ofmy shorts. I began to walk back to my house, watching as kids ran around and played along the beach and swam in the water. As i started to climb the steps of my house, i heard someone call my name. "Dani!!" I turned around and tried to spot someone out. It was my friend Sarah. "Oh," I said, "Hey." "Hey," said Sarah, "So i was wondering i know it's a little late now but, uh, do you wanna come over? Im just kinda bored and my mom said i can have someone over tonight before i go to my dads tomorrow." I looked at the door and then bac at Sarah. "Uh sure, lemme just go ask my parents." I ran inside and looked through the window. Sarah sat there and looked pleased with herself. I really havent been in any mood to hang out with anyone this summer since my boyfriend, Jake, and our break up, but i figured it would proabably be a good change to hang out with some real people, instead of just my little sister and her dolls. As i walked inside my mom was in our cramped kitchen making dinner. "Hey mom," i said. "Hey sweetie," she said as she kissed my cheek, "Wats up?" "Well, uh, Sarah asked me if i wanted to hang out tonite so, can i?" "OF course darling!" Her face lit up. My mom had knew about the break-up and also thought it was better to just hang out with some people. So with that answer i ran back out side to tell Sarah. She was sitting on the steps and when she heard the door open she jumped up and stood. She tumbled backwords and maked a gasp sound, catching herself and her breath. I giggled and smiled. I decided to be the one to speak up. "So yah, i can come over." "Great!!" she squealed. I invited her inside to help me pack. I quickly shoved all my things into my bag and put my hair into a sloppy bun. I slipped on some sweatpants and a tanktop. After packing me ran outside. We decided to walk since she lived right down the street, when we bumped into someone else we knew...
