My cousin Savannah has Rett Syndrome.
She's only 12.
The doctor's said she wouldn't make it past age 10.
But she did.
She can't eat by herself, or walk, or talk; she's never been able to.
But she made it.
Now, the doctors say she won't make it past age 16.
Yeah, they could be wrong; they were before but I'm not taking any chances.
Knowing our time is short, I'm going to spend time with her, every moment I can.
And to all of you out there attempting suicide and saying your life sucks, just think about someone who won't even get the chance to get married. Someone who will never have a life even close to what you have.
Someone who won't ever get a happily ever after.
And know that there's nothing she can do to change her life and all of you are treating it like a game and wanting to end yours.
