Chapter 4
It was Friday!
I was ready to go.
I grabbed my purse and rushed out the door, and saw no one there.
Um, wasn't Liam supposed to be waiting for me?
Then my phone rang.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi Stella! It's Pezz. I just wanted to tell you that Liam is at that beach! The closest one to you. Go there now, he's probably waiting for you there. By the way, I know he's there because I'm over there too right now...anyway, bye!" she hung up.
I quickly walked myself over to the beach, and spotted Pezz.
She waved, but then I saw something else.
Liam and Jasmine.
Wasn't Liam supposed to be picking me up?
They were so close to each other.
"Hello Liam? What happened?" I said, cross.
"T-this was my mistake." he said.
"Yes it was. You were just making out with Jasmine."
"Whatever, Stella! Just leave." he yelled angrily.
Yep.
He's with Jasmine alright!

Jasmine's P.O.V
"Pick me a dress! I need to get ready for next Friday!" I screeched.
"I'm just going to find what looks good on you Jasmine!" Mackenzie snapped.
"Pick for yourself." Natasha mumbled.
"No, I'm not going to pick my own dress. I want your opinions!"
Kristy glared at me.
Kristy's P.O.V
Why was Liam going out with Jasmine?
He's supposed to be mine!
I glared at Jasmine, and she pretended not to notice.
Mackenzie finally picked a dress for her.
"Here you go, Jasmine! It'll look perfect on you." she smiled.
"Good. Now aren't you going to pick accessories?" Jasmine spat.
Natasha moaned.
"What is wrong with your friendships? One minute your best friends, one minute you're fighting."
"Excuse me, Natasha." I said, putting my hands on my hips. "Jasmine has a special occasion coming up, and she needs to look perfect! She needs to be perfect!"
"And you are going to help me with that!" Jasmine added.
Natasha rolled her eyes.
What is wrong with her? Isn't she part of the gang?
Well one thing's for sure, none of us are getting along very well right now.
Mackenzie picked some accessories for Jasmine, and we were pretty much ready to go.
"Wait! Mackenzie, Kristy and Natasha, did you forget about my makeup?" Jasmine said, more softer than usual.
"IF I DON'T HAVE MAKEUP, HOW AM I GOING TO LOOK PERFECT? HOW AM I GOING TO BE PERFECT?" she thundered.
I made eye contact with Mackenzie, and she seemed to not enjoy Jasmine's yelling as well.
I shrugged my shoulders.
"I'm gonna go. Bye guys." Natasha said quickly, racing out the door.
We bought makeup for Jasmine, and we were FINALLY ready to go.
Natasha's P.O.V
I spotted Stella wih Pezz and Jesminda, and I rushed up to them.
"Don't go in that shop over there!" I hissed. "Jasmine, Mackenzie and Kristy are there. They should be out by now."
"Then run!" Stella yelled.
We ran away, far away from that shop.
"So, what brings you guys here?" I asked, taking a sip of my drink I bought.
Me, Pezz and Jesminda were waiting for an answer.
"Well?" asked Pezz.
"Liam asked me out." Stella whispered.
"Next Friday, he's going to pick me up from my house at 6:00pm!"
I pretended to be happy, but deep down inside, I knew there was a problem.
Jasmine was going on a date with Liam at the exact same time.

I blushed when one of the guys in my class sat next to me.
I pretended not to notice, because Kristy has a crush on him, and she was giving me an evil stare from across the room.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Stella." I managed to say.
"That's a cool name. Mine's Liam."
"Um, cool?" I said, clearly not interested. "So why did you sit next to me? You don't even know me. You just know my name...which you found out just then."
"Well I can always get to know you a bit." he grinned.
"Um, that'll be nice..."
I got interuppted by Jasmine.
"Liam!!! You're supposed to be working with me!" she purred.
Liam smiled, stood up and pushed in his chair.
"See you later, Stella."
Yeah, Jasmine and Liam are friends.
Great.
After school, I decided to hang out with my friends Pezz and Jesminda.
Maybe even Natasha too.
I invited them all over to my house, but before they arrived, guess who arrived?
Liam.
He knocked on the door, and I answered it.
"How did you know my address Liam?" I asked in shock.
"I'll explain later. Will you go out with me? You're...cool."
Um..
"Um okay...when?"
"Next Friday. You've got heaps of time to prepare. I'll come pick you up, don't worry."
"Okay, you can go now."
He shut the door, and walked away.
Just when Pezz, Jesminda and Natasha arrived.
Perfect timing.
Seriously perfect timing.
We had heaps of fun, and we agreed to go over to Natasha's house next Thursday.
The day before the date.

Chapter 3
One of the popular girls, also one of Jasmine's friends, Kristy walked up to me.
"I see you're alone, Stella. I mean, loner. You're not stellar."
I turned red in embarassment.
Everyone just giggled.
"Stella. Go and join Jasmine's group again." the teacher said loudly.
I nodded weakly, and walked over to their group.
Mackenzie glared at me, but Jasmine just smiled.
Natasha didn't have any expression on her face.
"Welcome back!!!" Jasmine exclaimed, but I knew she was being sarcastic.
I stared into her beady little eyes.
"Why are you back loner?" asked Mackenzie, pretending she didn't hear anything.
"I-I decided to come back." I lied.
Jasmine and Mackenzie continued to make fun of me, while Natasha didn't say a word.
"Talk Natasha." Mackenzie snapped.
Natasha shook her head.
"I need to go to the bathroom..." she said quietly, and walked off.
"I need to go to." I was telling the truth.
I walked into the bathroom and locked myself inside a toilet cubicle.
I heard Natasha walk in suddenly.
"Who's in there?" she asked.
"Stella." I answered roughly.
"That's good. I've been willing to talk to you." she continued.
"What is it?"
"The reason why I don't talk is that I don't think I like the popular group anymore. All they do is bully people. I don't know what's wrong with you. You're perfectly normal!" Natasha blurted out.
"So...you want to get kicked out of their little friendship group?" I raised one eyebrow.
"Yes...I'd rather be unpopular. I'd rather be bullied."
I was shocked.
A mean girl, turning to nice?
"I'd try anything to stop them...from bullying you."
"Thanks."
"I'll try change them into a different person..."
"That'll be hard."
"I know." she sighed.
"It was my mistake to trust them."

Chapter 2
I gulped.
All my friends were already sitting with someone else, and I had nowhere to sit.
I searched for a desk, and my eyes landed on a spare spot.
Next to Jasmine.
I reluctantly plopped myself in the seat next to her uncomfortably.
We were able to start class now.
"For this group project, I want you to get into groups of 4. The person sitting next to you, and the 2 people behind you."
Then the teacher went to the printer to get some papers.
I sighed.
I had to do this group project with Jasmine, and her best friends Mackenzie and Natasha.
I slowly stood up, and followed them to a space on the floor.
"So, Stella. How did you trip and fall into your lunch?" Jasmine snickered.
"You tripped me." I said so quietly that they couldn't hear.
Then I just ignored them.
"So...um let's get started!" I said.
"We're allowed to choose a subject. How about fashion?" Mackenzie suggested.
I rolled my eyes.
That's all they care about - fashion.
Jasmine and Natasha agreed on fashion, but I didn't.
"Come on Stella! You're slowing us down." Jasmine spat loudly.
It was when the teacher walked in the room again.
"Come on Stella! This is a group project. Work together." she exclaimed.
"Yeah." Jasmine repeated. "Work together."
Some people laughed at her little comment.
"Well if you don't agree, we're off!" shrieked Mackenzie.
She always doesn't like it when people disagree with her ideas.
Oh well. I had to find another group anyway.

Chapter 1
I ordered my food, and grabbed my tray to table 9 in the cafeteria.
Everyone was giggling loudly, but I had no idea what was so funny.
I was walking past the popular table, where Jasmine has a smirk on her face.
I didn't realise her foot was sticking out, and I tripped over it.
My tray fell out of my hands, landing onto the floor with a loud crash.
Everyone stared at me, laughing.
If I wasn't the one who tripped, I'd be laughing too.
I slowly stood up, brushing food off my clothes in embarassment.
Everyone's eyes were on me.
One of the cafeteria moniters, Mrs. Barker walked up.
"What is all the commotion?" she shrieked.
Everyone was quiet for a second, and continued eating their lunch.
Except for me, of course.
"Stella! What are you doing, playing around in your food like that?" she snapped again.
I accidently fell down again, causing me to fall in my food.
I sloshed around, trying to get back up.
As I finally got onto my feet again, Mrs. Barker sent me to the bathroom.
On my way there, Jasmine started laughing so hard.
"What were you doing Stella? Um...did you pee your pants?"
Then she laughed even harder.
I rolled my eyes.
"Um...I didn't pee in my pants, water spilled onto me." I answered, racing to the bathroom.
As I got in there, the girls doing their makeup were in shock and started to scream.
I ignored them, and washed myself up.
As I got out of the bathroom, I remembered the water stain was still there.
Oh well, I thought.
Too bad I didn't get any lunch.
I went to order some more food, and ate it up quickly.
But I still felt hungry.
Right then, we had to return to class.
I hate how Jasmine has nearly all her classes with me.
What was she going to do next?

We went over to the singing competition, sitting in seats.
They were about to announce the winner.
"The winner....is....LEIGH!!!"
We screamed.
Leigh was so happy and shocked.
After all those details, we walked over to Lilian's house.
"Tell us!" Jade demanded.
"Alright...I wrote that postcard." Lilian said quietly.
"Um...Alice is alive."
The last word made my heart flutter.
I started to smile.

Samantha's P.O.V
Tomorrow was the big day!
...
I walked to school, feeling extremely happy.
"Why are you so happy?" a girl called Elena asked me.
"Um...nothing." I said, pushing my chair in.
Elena looked at me with raised eyebrows, then went to her seat, whispering to Sasha.
I sat next to Leigh, telling her what just happened.
"Elena is an eavesdropper. She always asks strange questions."
What Leigh said calmed me down.
Classes were over quickly, so I went to the cafeteria and sat down at table 11.
Jade, Leigh, Lilian, Sasha and Elena soon sat down at table 11 as well.
Elena probably just wants to eavesdrop on our conversations, and Lilian and Sasha probably just followed because they had nowhere to sit.
I gulped, not knowing what to say.
I also heard Elena is one of the biggest school gossips as well, and likes to share news with everyone in the school.
"I'm going to go to my singing rehearsals..." Leigh quickly made up an excuse.
"I'll go too." said Lilian. "Bye guys!"
Leigh and Lilian rushed to the music room.
"I'll come watch." Sasha said, brushing crumbs off her skirt before she followed close behind them.
That meant it only left Jade, Elena and I.
I think Elena got bored or something, because she sighed, stood up and took her food to a different table.
Finally.
Me and Jade were finally free to talk, but we didn't know what to say so we walked over to the music room to watch Leigh, Lilian and Stacey rehearse.
Let's hope Leigh wins.

I galloped down the stairs.
My phone rang, and I grabbed to get it.
I recognised the caller straightaway.
"Hi Samantha!"
"Hi. Michael visited yesterday."
"What did he say..?"
"He said Lilian told him about Alice. He also said he couldn't tell me."
"Yeah...he's on Lilian's side. Of course, of course." I said, about to hang up.
"No...Jade, I said if he told me about Alice, I would tell him about who likes him."
"Did he accept?"
"Yes...but he whispered it in my ear, and I couldn't really hear...he wouldn't go for a second chance though. But I told him Lilian liked him. I didn't mention you, because you're my best friend. By the way, I think he said that he didn't like her."
I was so happy!
"SAMANTHA!!! THAT IS AMAZING! I GOT TO GO, BYE!"
"NO NO WAIT WAIT WAIT JADE....I got a papercut too. It really hurts. Um, okay. Bye now."
I hung up straightaway.

I saw a stranger walk by my house.
Sorry about that, I didn't know what to say.
Bananas are yellow.
I went to get a banana.
I ate it.

After my banana, I tossed the peel away and rubbed my hands.
I had to make some phone calls.
I wakled over to my room, I called Leigh.
The phone rang a couple of times, when finally, Leigh picked it up.

"Hi Leigh...let's make some plans. In 2 days, we'll all meet at Lilian's house, at 2:00pm. Got that?"

Leigh hung up, and then I called Samantha.

"Ow." I groaned.
I just got a papercut.
There was a loud knock on the door.
Why is it that I get a knock on the door everyday?
I looked at my finger again, then opened the door.
Um..Michael was here?
I wanted to get my phone out and call Jade but then he would hear the conversation.
"What are you doing here Michael." I snapped.
"I know about Alice, and Lilian told me about her. I can't tell you though." he said softly.
I wanted to punch this guy in the face.
He's not going to tell me, Jade or Leigh?
I cleared my throat.
"Please tell me. Lilian is a pathetic liar. We're good friends, actually." I said, making up an excuse.
"I'll tell you who's crushing on you if you tell me if Alice is alive or dead."

We ordered our tickets and sat in our seats, waiting for the movie to start.
Then the advertisements came up onto the screen.
"Oh my gosh!!! Look who's here!" Jade whispered, nudging me.
"Where?" I asked, looking to my right.
"Over there." she said, pointing to the left side of the room.
I saw Ryan...and that girl again!
"And over there." she whispered, pointing at a similar spot.
It was Lilian and Sasha, eating popcorn.
"Urgh, we went at the wrong time then." I responded.
"Yep."
The movie was great, and it finished so quickly.
Lilian found us, and Sasha followed close behind.
"Hey girls! You're probably still wondering about Alice...and worrying about what has happened to her. Well, when I tell you in 4 days, not only will I tell you, but you'll also get a surprise from me! Enjoy!"

5 days.
I was so happy that I got the most amount of votes from the crowd!
But the worst thing was that Lilian was in the top 3.
What if she wins?
There's a good chance she will.
I sat in my bedroom, just thinking about it.
Then there was a knock on the door.
I bounced up from my bed, and groaned.
I walked over to the door, and opened it.
It was Lilian.
Urgh, she's probably just here to annoy me.
"Um..hi Lilian?" I said nervously, biting my lower lip.
"Hi Leigh!" she smiled, but it turned into a frown.
"I was about to give you a clue. But you called me Lilian."
OOPS!
"I'm sorry there..." I stuttered.
"Anyway, back to the point. I came here to say CONGRATULATIONS! I'm not going to hurt you, Leigh. Good luck on winning the competition! Break a leg! The crowd LOVES you! 96 people raised their hand for you. And 96 for me. It was pretty close, as you can see...they both love us equally. One vote doesn't really count, I'm sure people who watch us on TV love me as well." she babbled.
"Shush...you talk too much." I muttered under my breath.
"Whatever...do you want me to repeat that?" she said, batting her eyelashes.
"Uh...no thanks LILY." I plastered a fake smile onto my face.
"Well, did you catch anything I was saying before?" she raised an eyebrow.
"Yes." I lied, not really wanting her to repeat whatever she said.
"Anyway, can you please tell me about Alice now? I mean, 5 days...that's ages away." I said.
"Well, it's not for me. And I'm only telling you in 5 days. Okay? Break a leg...for the singing competition. It's possible that your dream can come true! And bye Leigh! I'll see you in school tomorrow."
I felt so relieved when she closed that door, that girl can talk!
I was getting a bit of a headache.
I rubbed my head, and moaned in pain.
I walked to my room again, and laid down on my bed.
I got out my phone.

I smiled, and replied back.

I smiled, rushing to Jade's house.
"Now we don't have to text." I said as I arrived in.

6 days.
I changed my ringtone from R.I.P to Somebody That I Used To Know.
The phone rang.
That song was directed to Ryan.
This song meant a lot to me.
I snatched up the phone.
It was Leigh, she said that I had to be there for the grand finals.
I smiled, and told her I'd be there as soon as possible.
I hung up, and walked over to my room.
I decided to wear something fancy for the night.
After I decided the outfit was good enough, I texted Jade.
Did Leigh tell u about the grand finals?(:
1 new text message from Jadexo
Yep! im coming over now. i'll meet u there!
I put my phone in my pocket, and went over to the singing competition.
"Hey Samantha!" someone said behind me.
It made me jump.
When I realised it was only Jade, I grinned.
"Oh, hi Jade!"
We sat down next to each other at the front row on the plush, red seats.
Leigh was the opening act, which was awesome.
And Lilian was the closing act.
Urgh, why do they have to have such a good opening act and the worst closing act ever?
"Amazing..." the judges kept saying for each performance.
But there were only 5 performers, so it was pretty short.
"Now...we have to pick our top 3." Ben said.
"Australia, raise your hand for the fascinating and talented....LEIGH!!!"
Me and Jade both stood up and raised our hand high.
Christina walked through the crowds, counting the hands.
"97!" she exclaimed, rushing back to her seat.
Then...it was Sasha, 82, Stacey, 93, and so on.
"HANDS UP FOR LILIAN!!!" Angie shrieked.
Christina once again, walked through the crowds, counting the hands.
This time, it was 96, sadly.
And, the 3 in were all solo girls.
Unusual, right? It's usually supposed to be a boy band or a solo guy.
"The person who recieved the most votes and will be staying in this competition..."
Christina announced.
She looked at her notes quickly and looked back at the stage.
"Is...LEIGH!!!" she yelled.
Leigh screamed, and jumped, and went off backstage.
"The least votes...is Sasha. Sorry, you have been eliminated." Christina said softly.
She was depressed.
"And all the boys are cut from the competition...well done to Lilian and Stacey!"
Lilian and Stacey screamed, going insane.
Me and Jade looked at each other, clearly disappointed.
Why, Lilian might even win...

"You look messy." Georgia said to Ryan in disgust.
"What did you do with those girls on the beach yesterday?"
Ryan gave her a look, taking a quick glance at me.
I raised an eyebrow, while Georgia giggled.
Why was Ryan acting so unusual today?

I looked outside my window and smacked my forehead.

I walked down to her house.
