I guess the reason girls never believe guys isn't that we're fishing for compliments. Well, most of us. We really don't believe we're beautiful. When we look in the mirror, all we ever see are our flaws. We can always be thinner, our skin can always be smother, our lips can always be fuller. We notice everything that we think is wrong with us. We never believe people when they tell us otherwise because we genuinely don't believe it . Even when we repost things like 'beauty comes in all shapes and sizes' and 'mirrors lie 'cause they can't show what's inside', we can't completely convince ourselves that those saying are true. We may be able to look like we believe them, but deep down inside, we don’t. Some girls are confident about themselves. Completely. And how they became that way is a complete mystery to me, and how they got that way may work for them, but not for another person. We all have to find our own way to being self confident and being able to truly believe that we're beautiful, flaws and all.
