    50 shades of pink
    chapter one ~
“Aven, sweetie, Emerson has been waiting for you for at least 10 minutes in the driveway. You look beautiful now go, shoo, don’t keep the poor boy waiting any longer!” My mom rushed me out of my room as I did a quick once-over at myself in the mirror.
My senior boyfriend, Emerson, is picking me up and taking me to his graduation dinner with him and his family.
I was proud of him, watching him get his diploma today in the auditorium with the rest of his graduating class.
I'm a junior, incoming senior, just one year younger than Emerson.
He and I have been dating since I was in 9th grade.
"Hey babe." He kissed me on the cheek when I got in his car.
"Hey," I sniffed his car, smelling the cigarette that had just been finished and tossed into the street.
I crinkled my nose and he opened the windows.
As he drove us to dinner in town, I couldn't help but think what would happen to our relationship once he leaves South Beach and goes to Tulane University in New Orleans.
I mean, why would he want to be with someone who's still in high school?
As I was sitting at the table, I felt almost out of place for the first time.
As if they knew something I didn't.
I never felt that way with Emerson and his family before tonight.
Dinner passed by quickly, and Emerson clearly was going to drive me home.
It was just he and I after everyone left because we stopped at our favorite gelato shop down the street.
We sat and talked on the bench, as my phone vibrated in the back pocket of my jeans.
Lance Reynolds: Hey, call me, I need to tell you something ASAP.
Lance is Emerson's best friend in the whole wide world, but he's in my grade.
"Um, can that wait, I have something important to talk to you about, it's about me going to college in the fall..."
"Oh good because I was wondering how we're gonna make the whole long distance relationship work out and - "
"Uh, about that, Aven. I think we should break up."
    Break up. Break. Up. What?
"W-why?" I felt my chin tremble as my bottom lip quivered.
I tried to hold back the tears, but I didn't know how much longer I could.
"I don't think it's going to work long distance, plus the college life doesn't really fit with having a girlfriend..."
Before I knew it, tears were uncontrollably spilling down my cheeks, wiping my makeup off my face.
"Aven, come here." He tried to embrace me in his chest, but I resisted.
"Get off of me," I said strictly.
"Let me drive you home at least, I feel awful."
"No, I'll call someone. Leave me alone. I never want to see you again." I said getting up and running down the block, leaving him on the bench alone.
I called my best friend, Kenzie, hysterically crying.
When I turned the corner, I saw Kenzie and Lance both running towards the bench.
"Lance just told me that Emerson was gonna break up with you, so I came here to make sure you're alright, come here," my bestfriend said pulling me in for a bear hug.
"That's why I wanted you to call me, I wanted to tell you before you got hurt!" Lance wiped the tears from my eyes with his thumbs and squeezed me tight.
"You're beautiful, you deserve better," he whispered into my ear.

    Dear Abby,
    Chapter 9 ~ http://summerl0vinn.weebly.com
    http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_58/set?id=62373557
Dear Abby, I'm in love with her. She has no idea. Help. Xoxo, Anonymous
Dear Anonymous, tell her now or forever regret not saying anything. Xoxo, Abby.
"Mir!" Leah shouted as she swung my front door open.
"Come up to my room!" I screamed back, careful not to smear my top eyeliner.
My skin was pefectly covered in makeup and contoured to perfection.
My smokey eyes were clean and neat and my mascara made my lashes look fake.
I had straightened my long brown hair so that it reached almost my back dimples.
Casually but stylishly, I changed my clothes as Leah plopped down on my bed.
"You look ah-mazing!" She squealed and smiled.
I took in the messy blonde fishtail braid and her face which was flawlessly covered.
"Back at ya, babe," I winked and laughed.
"Jared's waiting out front for us, I told him not to come in in case you're changing."
I got butterflies when I heard that Jared was going with us to the King of Prussia Mall.
"I-I thought your mom was driving us?" I tried to hide my excitement, but the blushing wasn't helping.
"Well I forgot that since it's Friday, she's working late and Jared needs to buy new jeans so he said he'd drive us. He's bringing Dylan."
"Who's Dylan?" I asked raising my eye brows.
"He's this junior in my gym class, he's adorable!" I could tell she liked him by the way she fawned over him.
When we got to the car, I stared him down before getting in.
"Miranda, Dylan, Dylan, Miranda," Jared said staring at me through the mirror.
I smiled, "nice to meet you."
"You too, I've heard so much about you."
It took us about 20 minutes to finally get to the mall, and luckily it was barely crowded.
We all ate dinner together at The Cheesecake Factory but split up for shopping.
We met back up with them at Victoria's Secret since it was right by the car.
"Ooh, little pink bags," Dylan said elbowing Jared as he winked at me.
Ew, he's so weird. But I didn't say that to Leah because I could tell she likes him.
"You're sleeping over Miran," Leah demanded as we shuffled into the car.
Once we got back to the house, we got in our pajamas and hung out in the basement.
We watched Final Destination, and I found myself cuddled into Jared halfway into it.
It was dark in the basement, but we could clearly see Leah and Dylan making out on the chair next to us.
Jared tried to act like it wasn't bothering him, but I knew he was stabbing Dylan in his mind.
He motioned to go upstairs since I'm sure he felt uncomfortable - I would too.
He shut the basement door which made it okay to talk freely.
"Do you want some chips? We got the ruffle ones for you," Jared said going through the pantry.
"Thanks, do you have - "
"Barbeque Lays?" He cut me off, "Right here, all your favorites." He flashed me a gorgeous smile and took out all of my favorite foods.
"I seperated the yellow Skittles for you, and we got that Market Pantry chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream from Target that you love."
"It's so funny that you still remember so much about me," I said opening the Lays.
"Well, how could I ever forget anything about you, you're so specific and there's so many little details. You're really something special, you know that?"
I smiled and blushed, my cheeks growing hotter by the second.
"You're pretty great too, you know," I tried my best to avoid eye contact.
I could feel him staring at me, but I continued to stuff my face with food awkwardly.
I looked up to see Jared about to say anything but he closed his mouth and grabbed a chip instead.

    Dear Abby,
    Chapter 7 ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_55/set?id=60902499
    http://summerl0vinn.weebly.com
Dear Abby, I'm in love with my best friend... tips? Xoxo, Anonymous
Dear Anonymous, tell him/her! You never know what could happen, she/he might feel the same way. Xoxo, Abby.
I woke up facing him, sun streaming in through his blinds on the window.
I got out of bed, careful to be quiet and not wake him up.
    I checked my phone - 10:43 a.m.
I went into the hallway bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth.
When I came back into Jared's room, he wasn't in his bed.
He came out of the bathroom with no shirt on, and I couldn't help but stare.
"Morning," he said, smiling and wiping his eyes.
    "Morning," I quietly said.
"Do you have a t-shirt or something I can borrow? I'm sweating," I said.
He threw me a West Chester University t-shirt and I pulled off my sweatshirt.
When I looked up after slipping into the t-shirt, it just occurred to me that he had been staring.
    "Damn, woman," he said, smirking.
I playfully punched his toned arm, and followed him downstairs for breakfast.
There was a note on the counter that read: Leah has a soccer tournament, we'll be gone until 7:00 tonight, don't wait for us to have dinner, xoxo mom.
I read it outloud to Jared who couldn't be any happier that he had the house to himself.
"Okay, well I'll get going, thanks for letting me sleep in your bed," I said, grabbing my keys off the counter.
"What? Where are you going? Stay here!" He flashed me big brown puppy dog eyes that I couldn't say no to.
"Okay, my mom's at work anyways. What do you wanna do?" I asked him, putting my keys back down.
"Let's go out to breakfast, I'm starving."
"Where do you wanna go?" He looked puzzled and then left the house to get in his car.
Not knowing where we were going, I still followed him out.
He pulled into Cosí and we got breakfast to go.
He drove to a park near his house.
We got out and took our breakfast with us.
There were little kids running around, mothers chasing them.
We ate at a park bench, facing the pond.
For living in Pennsylvania, the pond was pretty clean.
It was chilly out, but of course I'm stupid and didn't bring my sweatshirt.
"You cold?" Jared said when he noticed my goosebumps.
"Yeah," I tossed my wrapper into the trash can that was three feet away.
"Come here," he pulled me into him, and I breathed in his cologne.
We sat cuddled together for half an hour and then decided to go back to his house since it was getting colder.
I turned around to see Ryan standing behind the bench, genuinely hurt.
At first I didn't think much about it, but then I realized how it looked to an outsider.
It looked like Jared and I were together.
Ryan didn't say anything, he just turned around and walked away.
"Ryan!" I said running up behind him.
"What do you want?" He snapped at me.
"It's not what it looks like, he's like my best friend!" I said so fast I could barely understand myself.
"Right, you're not even worth it Miranda," he said turning towards the parking lot.
    I just stood there, quiet.
I heard Jared come up behind me and he pulled me into a hug.

    Dear Abby,
    Chapter 6 ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_55/set?id=60902499
    http://summerl0vinn.weebly.com
Dear Abby, my best friend is going out with someone that I HATE. Suggestions? Xoxo, Anonymous
Dear Anonymous, if he/she is happy with them, let it be. Xoxo, Abby.
"What's wrong!" I asked shutting the door behind me, carefully walking over to him.
"She, she, she," He sucked in a short breath of air between sobs.
"Spit it out, Jar," I said sitting down on his bed with him.
"She broke up with me," he wailed.
"Jen broke up with you? Do you know why?" What possible reason could a girl have for breaking the heart of this adorable guy?
"She said, 'there was someone else'," He said, putting air quotes around someone else.
"Well, she doesn't deserve you anyway. You're too good for her. I never really liked her anyways if you ask me," I said shrugging my shoulders in a matter-of-factly way.
"Really?" He asked, his eyes meeting my icy blue ones.
    "Really," I said reassuring him.
"Well you could have told me that six months ago instead of waiting until now," he chuckled.
"Well sorry. Look, one way or another, you have to get over the b*tch. So, I'm gonna help you. Baby steps, though," I said picking him up.
"Go shower," I said throwing him a towel out of his bathroom closet.
He did as I said and came out with the towel wrapped around his waist.
Holy mother of jesus would you look at his body, I thought to myself.
No, snap out of it, best friend's brother, best friend's brother, I coached myself.
I threw him a t-shirt and basketball shorts and he went back into the bathroom to get dressed.
    "What's next?" He said.
"We need to get some food into you," I said, patting his flat stomach.
We went downstairs, and I made him an ice cream sundae with all of his favorites.
Every sunday night I come over for dinner and we all make ice cream sundaes, so I know what he likes by now.
"Let's watch a movie," he said taking his huge bowl into the living room.
"Halloween Town is on Disney Channel!" He said, putting on our all-time favorite movie.
The three of us have been watching it every year since it came out on halloween.
The movie ended, and he wanted to play board games.
Even though it was a little difficult with two players, we managed.
I yawned, and opened my eyes to see him staring at me quietly.
He flashed me a side smile and for some reason, I blushed.
After we finished our night activities, it was around 3 a.m.
"So, how was your date tonight?" He asked dryly, as I folded my lets pretzel style on his bed.
"It was... fine," I said, blushing.
"You like him?" He avoided all possible eye contact with me.
"I dunno, he's not the awful person we all thought he was I guess," I said with a smile as I studied his comforter.
"Yes, he is," he said sternly.
I didn't say anything, we just sat in silence.
"I missed you, you know, these late night powwows," he said, lightening up the mood by slightly punching my arm.
"I missed you too, bestie," I said laughing.
    "Time for bed?"
I got up off the bed to wash my face and use my tooth brush and whole set that I keep at their house since I'm there so often.
I plugged my phone in and took off my leggings.
I changed into a pair of his basketball shorts and got into his bed.
I know what you're thinking, but we've known each other forever so it's not awkward at all.
"I shot inside!" I said, cuddling up between him and the wall.
We fell asleep facing away from each other, butts touching.
    "Night, Mir," he said quietly.
    "Night, Jar," I replied.

    http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_52/set?id=59299582
Dear Abby, my best friend is going out with someone that I HATE. Suggestions? Xoxo, Anonymous
Dear Anonymous, if he/she is happy with them, let it be. Xoxo, Abby.
"Tonight was really fun, thank you," I said smiling after he walked me to my door.
I avoided all possible eye contact to eliminate awkward moments.
He tilted my chin up and he stared at me with his blue eyes.
He is pretty cute, I thought to myself.
He leaned in to kiss me, and for some odd reason, I let it happen.
His soft lips were somewhat firm, but perfect.
He knew exactly what to do, while this was my first kiss.
He stole my first kiss, without even asking.
But for whatever reason, I didn't mind. Not one bit.
Although my friends hate him, this kiss made me realize, I have feelings for him.
Even though I hung out with him once and even though my friends hate him, I don't care.
He pulled away, keeping his face a few inches away.
He smiled and ran his thumbs on my cheeks.
I could feel my cheeks growing hot and blush.
My phone vibrated in my jeans pocket, but I didn't want to ruin the moment.
It kept ringing, but I let it go.
We kissed for a few more minutes, it was perfect.
"Do you wanna get that?" Ryan asked since my phone had been ringing for a few minutes now.
    I checked my phone: Leahhhh.
"It's fine, it's no one," I said, switching my phone to silent.
"I gotta get going, text me, Miranda," he said winking.
I nodded and bit my lip, as he walked back to his car and I burst into my house.
I called Leah once I got up to my room.
"MIRANDA!" She screamed into my ear through the phone.
    "What!"
"I've been calling you for like, 10 minutes!" She shrieked.
"What's so important!" I asked, trying to speed up the conversation.
"Come over, now. And you're sleeping here." She said worriedly. I sensed her mood quickly.
"Be there in a few," I tapped the end button on my iPhone and dropped it on my bed.
I changed into leggings and a hoodie, put my glasses on, slid into my ugg moccasins, and threw my hair in a bun on the top of my head.
"Mom, I'm going to sleep at Leah's," I said into my mom's room.
She nodded in agreement and I drove over to Leah's even though I only have my permit.
She's close enough where I won't get caught driving.
I climbed up the tree and onto her porch that was connected to her room on the second floor.
"I'm here," I said bursting in the room, startling her.
"Thank goodness!" She said hugging me.
"What the hell was so important!?" I asked hugging her back.
"Jared won't leave his room, eat or talk to anyone. And when he does, he gives one word answers. I don't know what's wrong with him and I thought you might." She said without breathing.
Without saying anything, I took a piece of paper off of her desk and wrote a note on it.
Please let me in. Xoxo, Mir.
I went and slid it under his bedroom door, and waited.
Within one minute, he opened the door and let me in.
His face was tear-stained, eyes puffy and red.
    He was truly a mess.

    Chapter 4~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_52/set?id=59299582
Dear Abby, my best friend is going out with someone that I HATE. Suggestions? Xoxo, Anonymous
Dear Anonymous, if he/she is happy with them, let it be. Xoxo, Abby.
I answered a few Dear Abby questions through my phone on the way to the city during awkward silences.
"So, do you play sports?" He asked, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Uh, no. I'm more of a... writer," I tapped my fingers on my jeans and pulled my sweater over my hands.
"Are you cold?" He said, turning on the head instead of the AC.
"Thanks," I gazed out the window as he proceeded his little game of 20 questions.
"I think we're here," he said pulling into a spot close to the former prison.
"Is this supposed to be really scary?" I asked worriedly.
"Number 3 on the scariest haunted houses, I believe," he said matter-of-factly.
I nodded and unbuckled, turning to get out of the car.
    ***
I clung onto the arm of his varsity football jacket and hid my face in his chest.
I was terrified, he seemed like he was enjoying it.
He had his arm tightly wrapped around me and pulled me close.
It was a million degrees in the haunted house, I regretted ever putting on a sweater, jeans AND Uggs.
After what felt like 4 hours but was only 15 minutes, I was hungry, scared, and my throat was sore from screaming.
"Ohmygosh!" I tried to catch my breath.
"Are you okay?!" He said laughing in a flirty way.
"That was awful!" I said, my eyes wider than a tennis ball.
"I liked it!" His grin stretched from ear to ear.
"I hated it!" He grabbed my hand and led me away from the exit.
"Do you wanna go over to Jack's Firehouse and get some dinner? I'm starving."
"Yeah, me too," I said as I wrapped my arm around his waist and he put his around my neck.
"Two, please," he said to the hostess when we got inside.
It was quite crowded, I guess this place is packed when it's haunted house season.
We were seated in 10 minutes, thankfully.
I looked around, taking in every minute of the city atmosphere.
I love the city of Philadelphia, it's just like New York, but less crowded.
I live in the suburbs of Pennsylvania, so a trip to the city is nice.
When I looked back at our table, Ryan was staring at me.
"What?" I asked, letting a little smile slip from my face.
"Nothing," he said, looking down smiling.
I read the menu, and decided on a ceasar salad which Ryan ordered for me.
We ate and laughed about the haunted house throughout basically the whole meal.
"Ready to go?" He said looking up from the check after putting down the tip amount.
"Ready, when you are," I said as he stood up.
I followed him out to his car and we drove back into the boring old suburbs together.
    Note:
okay so sorry it's so broad and general, it's just i need to get to the more specific parts, so i'm kind of rushing through the boring get-to-know-the-character part without taking up 10 chapters. hope you like this, feedback through comments please <3

Dear Abby, I feel kind of bad making one of my friends do something... but I can't take it back. Should I say something? Xoxo, Anonymous
Dear Anonymous, just leave it be. If they're a true friend, they won't penalize you for it. Xoxo, Abby.
"So, Miranda, right?" Ryan said, trying to be slick by putting his arm up and leaning on my locker during 11th period.
"Yeah," I rolled my big brown eyes.
"Tonight, Eastern State Pennitentiary, you and me." He said with a half smile.
He was close enough to me where I could feel his warm minty breath on my face.
"Um, alright, pick me up at 8," I said weakly.
Halloween is coming up, so all of the haunted houses are open for the season.
I've never been to one before, honestly I'm kind of scared.
    ***
"Hey, Ran, we feel really bad about making you ask Ryan out since we know you hate him and all. We just wanted to apologize," Leah said, arms wide open.
I hugged her, "I was never mad at you guys! Really, it's fine. We're going to a haunted house tonight, I'll be alright." I said smiling.
"Oh, you're actually going out with him?" Jared said, his face dropping.
"Yeah... you guys made me ask him... remember?"
Leah elbowed Jared in the stomach and nodded agreeingly.
Once I got out of his car, I walked into my house and turned on my MacBook.
My FaceBook was blinking: Ryan sent you a message.
I opened it, and sure enough, there was his number with the words - text me;) next to it.
I checked my twitter, @TheRealRyanClarke is now following you.
    Great.
I shut my computer after punching his number into my iPhone.
I texted him so that he had my number for when he needs my address.
We end up talking for hours about everything and nothing.
He's actually not as bad as I thought he was, he's a real person.
Apparently his family is super rich, not that I'm not... I'm just above middle class, but not filthy rich.
I couldn't wait to tell my friends that he's not a bad person.
I showered and blowdried my hair, and then curled it.
I put on a full face of makeup and dressed warm since it's so cold out.
He honked the horn of his Jeep Wrangler that was parked outside of my house.
I kissed my mom goodbye and got in the passenger's seat.
"Ready, beautiful?" He said, sending chills up my spine.
I nodded, and he pulled out of my driveway, ready for the hour long car ride we had into the city.
    Note:
hope you enjoy ! sorry it took so long, i thought it uploaded a few days ago but clearly it didn't!

Dear Anonymous, let him go. If he loved you, there wouldn't even be another. You're better than that! We're women, we're strong! Chin up, beautiful. Xoxo, Abby.
    That's me, "Abby".
Actually, my real name is Miranda Rae Wilde.
I run the advice column at my school, no one knows it's me, except the leader of the school paper.
But questions like these, I know exactly who they are.
Only one couple in my school has been going out for three years.
I know everything about everyone, and no one knows me besides my group of friends.
We absolutely hate the "populars" of our school, even though they don't know we exist.
There's one that I especially hate - Ryan Clarke.
He's the most obnoxious, self-obsessed jerk I've ever met. And he's not even that cute.
I sent the email to the teacher who runs the column and slammed my MacBook shut.
It was 6:15, so I started getting ready for school.
I curled my long brown hair and carefully did my makeup.
I grabbed my laptop and slipped it into its case and then my backpack.
I heard Sky honk his horn about twenty times outside my house.
I ran out of the house and got in the passenger's seat.
"Well damn, it's about time!" He said laughing as he pulled out of the coldesac.
We picked up Leah and her older brother, Jared, who live in the neighborhood next to mine.
We got to school in fifteen minutes, and everyone was walking around with a copy of the newspaper.
I know it sounds cliche, but our school actually loves the newspaper.
We have a horoscope section, advice column (duh), sports, club news, etc.
"Wait, lemme see the Dear Abby section!" I heard people say as I walked through the hall.
"Wow, that advice column is really popular!" Leah said, flipping her long dark hair.
"Yeah," I said, trying to hide my smile.
I walked with Jared to our first class, Yearbook Club.
His 6'3" figure towered over my 5'3" body as we walked.
We got to class the second the bell rang and sat at our table together.
"Just take pictures the whole class, I guess," our teacher said sitting in his spinny chair.
We shrugged our shoulders at each other thinking of what we could do next.
He grabbed a newspaper and read the advice column outloud.
"Wow, this Abby is good at giving advice. I wonder who it is..." he said looking around the room.
"Do you think it could be Jessica?" I asked, trying to cover up my identity.
"Maybe Natalia," he said looking puzzled.
He will never find out it's me, no one will, I'll be sure of it.
    Note:
so so so sorry for changing again. but i think this has a legit plot that no one uses because its not the usual love story. enjoy <3

    Chapter 3 ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_50/set?id=58214637
“Okay, I think that’s good for today, we got at least 20 different shots,” Seth said, looking through the photos. I looked at him differently than I did before. I don’t have any feelings towards him, except hatred. No one’s ever made me break down in front of them like that, especially within twenty minutes. I hate that he did that, and I hate that he now knows the biggest secret I’ve been hiding for so long. I couldn’t even fathom the idea that out of all people, this average guy did the impossible, showed the true me, not the b*tch I show everyone. He must have noticed how I had my lip curled at him because he commented on it.
    “Pretty,” he said sarcastically.
“Bite me, Seth,” I snapped. He put his hands up in surrender and backed up a step.
“Someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, Princess?” I glared at him until he decided to stop making “jokes”.
“Are we done here?” I asked impatiently.
“Uh… yeah, do you wanna go get some dinner?” He asked innocently.
“I’m not hungry.” I mumbled staring at the ground.
“I don’t care... you’re going to eat.” He demanded.
“No. Instead of dinner, we could do something fun, like get piercings!” I said, my face lighting up.
“I didn’t think you were into piercings?” He said giving me a strange look.
“I am, but not the crazy earrings. Just like diamond studs and stuff,” I said tilting my head up.
“Well if you want to, then sure,” he said leading me out to my car in the driveway. I hopped in the driver’s seat and pulled out of his neighborhood and towards the piercing pagoda.
“I love this song!” I said, turning up Clique by Kanye.
“No way! Same!” He said as he started rapping the lyrics. When we finally got to the mall, I led him to my favorite piercing stand.
“Hey! Maxxie! How’s the trague piercing treating you?” The manager asked in a bubbly tone.
“I love it! It doesn’t even hurt!” I said, remembering I was with Seth.
“Trish, this is Seth, my friend from school.” I said, pointing to him. They shook hands and Trish directed her attention back to me.
“What do you want today, love?” She asked taking me into the piercing store a few feet away.
“What should I get?” I asked, facing Seth.
“Well, what do you have?” He raised an eyebrow at me and smirked.
“Bellybutton, trague, first three holes on one, first two on the other, mid-way cartilage, and that’s it.” I said quickly.
“Ooh! Get your back dimples or nose pierced!”
“Those are good ones,” Trish said waving around the piercing gun.
“I’ll go with a baby crystal stud in my nose!” I said, getting excited.
“Sounds good! Hey, Maxx, you never get anything pierced with anyone, why’d you bring this kid?” She asked the simplest question, yet it made my face heat up and get bright pink. Seth shoved his hands in his Hollister jean pockets and blushed as well. I lay back in the chair as she pierced me.
“It looks so freaking good Maxxie!” Seth said like, 30 times after leaving the mall. I loved it, the piercing I mean. It’s perfect, it works.
“Thanks for the suggestion!” I said giving him a small one-armed hug. I felt him tense up, so I let go.
    Awkwardddd.
    Note:
    I don't notify, sorry!
So sorry it's taking me so long to upload - school is a b*tch

    Chapter 2 ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_50/set?id=58214637
I got to Seth's house around 6:15 to plan how to get an A. After the rest of the period with him telling me how snobby, rude, and self-obsessed I am, this is the last place I wanna be. I rang his doorbell once, and when he didn't come down right away I hoped that he wasn't home so I turned around to leave. He opened the door two seconds later out of breath.
"Sorry, I was doing something." I trudged into the house, it smelled like pasta with meat sauce, my favorite. It reminded me of the last time I ate, 9 months ago.
"Sorry for the wait, I was making dinner for myself." He realized I noticed there were no cars and not a soul in the house, "I live here alone," he fessed up.
"Alone? Isn't that illegal since you're under 18?"
"Uh, yeah. Look, please don't tell anyone," he pleaded.
"This is a pretty big house for a 17-year-old to afford on his own, though."
"My mom actually sends me a huge check from New York each week and I save it for rent."
"Gotcha, just dinner for one?" I asked walking to the kitchen.
"Well, I figured you wouldn't want any. I didn't think you ate carbs, or ate anything for that manner," he said, shoving his hands into his jean pockets.
"Ouch. I don't starve myself to be perfect. In fact, I eat whatever I want, just fast metabolism, I guess." I looked away hoping that it wasn't obvious that that was possibly the biggest lie I've ever told.
"Sorry, then. Wanna split the pot?" he said, throwing his hands up in surrender.
"No, you eat it, I'm fine," I said sitting at the kitchen table.
He took the seat at the opposite end of the table from me.
"So, I think that tomorrow since it's Saturday, you should bring like, 4 outfits over and we could take pictures in each room of the house so it looks like we hung out different days." He said, twisting the pasta on a fork. Oh how I could use a bite of food, I haven't eaten in the longest time. I avoided looking at the food that surrounded me, it seemed to be taunting me.
"You okay, down there? You haven't spoken since like, 5 minutes ago, and you usually have some sort of opinion on everything I say." He said staring at me.
"I'm fine," I said mesmerized by the pasta. It was taunting me, I had to have some, but I couldn't. No, not yet. I still have 10 pounds to go till I'm at a solid 104, the desired goal.
"You sure you don't want some pasta? I still have some left..." crap, he noticed me eyeing it.
"Really, I'm good. I don't want any food." I said strictly. I got up and started pacing in the kitchen, to distract me.
"Okay. Well, it's like, almost 7, and tomorrow's Saturday, so I'm guessing you should go home and get your beauty rest for your crazy party day tomorrrow - "
"You don't get it do you? How hard it is to be me. You think a few hours of sleep and everything's peachy for the next day. You don't get how long it takes me to look the way I do, or that I can't eat as much as the average girl to look how I do. You don't get that maybe I'm a b*tch so that people don't walk all over me. Like you. I'm probably one of the meanest people to you and you invite me into your home and offer me dinner, because you're so nice! God, if I was nice, do you know how awful it would be to be me? People would chew me up and spit me out!" I sat down with my back against the wall, head in my hands, about to break down in tears. Clearly that was more than I ever wanted to tell anyone... ever. But once I started, I couldn't stop. He got up off his chair and kneeled down next to me on the wooden floors.
"Look," he said soothingly, "it's obvious that you've got a lot going on, and I'm sorry for making it harder than it needs to be by acting like this is the one thing I'd rather die than do. I knew something was up when you refused to eat, because I could tell how badly you wanted to. Please, eat something, you could use it." He said rubbing my back.
"I can't eat." I said as a mascara-stained tear fell down my cheek. Once one tear was out, all of them came pouring down my face, acting as a makeup remover.
"Yes, you can, Maxxie, you have to."
"No," I said, turning away from him.
"Please, it'll make both you and I feel so much better." He said grabbing his bowl of pasta and bringing it down to me. He sat down in front of me and put the bowl on the floor.
"I really can't, I have 10 pounds left," I said, coaching myself through it.
"Until what, until you look like a girl in a magazine? You don't need to, just please, eat the food." He said, putting the pasta on his fork for me. I inched closer to the fork, sniffing the food. It smelled so good, but I couldn't. I pushed his hand away from my face, hysterically crying.
"When you're ready, do you promise that you'll eat something for me?" I shrugged my shoulders, trying not to wipe my eyes. "I won't stop until you do, Maxxie," he said quietly. I looked up at him with my stained eyes and gave a tiny smile. I got up and went to the bathroom, where I carefully got the makeup off of my eyes.
"Ohmygod," he whispered, thinking I couldn't hear.
    "What?" I croaked.
"N-nothing, you're just - you're beautiful. More beautiful than you are with the makeup," he said, I blushed.

    Chapter 1 ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_50/set?id=58214637
I did my hair and makeup at my huge vanity in my palace of a room. After getting ready and kissing my family goodbye for the day, I hopped in my Mercedes Benz and drove to school. I saw my best friend Bella waiting for me outside of the school.
“Maxxie! I lovvve your bag! New Louis?” Bella said touching my new LV bag.
“Don’t touch it! It’s real! I don’t want it getting ruined.” I scoffed at her. I flipped my perfect blonde hair and continued walking through the hall. I shot daggers with my fierce blue eyes at the people who looked at me in fear. Bella followed close behind like a little puppy like usual, I mean, duh, that’s what she’s here for. Lauren then joined next to Bella to form our special triangle. Me in the front - the two of them in the back. Everyone in school calls us the Trinity. People look at us in fear, which is just what I want. I adjusted my lip-gloss in my baby pink compact mirror while we stood at our lockers. When the bell rang, they followed me to our first class, history. Lauren got up to ask the teacher a question, leaving her seat open. Some random guy went to sit in her seat – unacceptable.
“Occupado, senor, move,” I instructed. My Tiffany charm bracelet clinked together as my dainty wrist fluttered.
“I’m not even Mexican,” the extremely tan boy said as he sighed and went to find another empty seat. Bella laughed and Lauren returned. I examined my fresh French manicure and pedicure, which was revealed through my new flip-flops.
“I hate how hot it is in South Beach, my hair is frizzing.” I pouted, feeling the frizz on my head.
“No! It totally isn’t! It looks ah-mazing!” Bella fawned over me. I rolled my eyes and didn’t answer.
“Time for partners everyone!” Mr. Brigs said to the class. His sweatervest really complemented his eyes... not.
“Ew, but I hate mine,” I snickered at the teacher who was practically afraid of me.
“Just for once, cooperate Miss White. Please, one time, I’m begging you.” My teacher shot me a desperate look, I rolled my eyes. I couldn't afford to get another 'pink slip' as my school called it.
I huffed and stood up, “who’s even my partner anyway?”
“Me,” a kid who I honestly never remember seeing in my life blurted out. I looked him up and down – spiked-in-the-front brown hair, brown eyes, pretty strong, much taller than I, and Hollister clothing; typical, pretty, average teenage boy.
“Well this should be… painful,” I folded my arms across my big chest scrunching my face up.
“Whatever, I’ll do all the work as long as you don’t talk or do anything. Please.” He was practically begging me to sit there and look pretty, how could I pass up the offer?
“Not so fast, Seth,” Mr. Brigs interrupted, “this is a different kind of assignment. Meet your new fake husband and wives for the semester! You will be forced to act like you are married. You will get your own fake baby, fake jobs, fake money, and a fake house - and the two of you have to find a way to balance it all. Last couple standing without a divorce, gets an A+ on the project. Did I mention it's 60% of your grade?” I looked at Seth in disgust, and he did the same. Fake husband and wives? I refuse to 'rough it' with some average guy. He's so out of my league it's ridiculous. There is no way I am doing this project, not even if my high school career depended on it.
“Meet your new soulmates everyone,” Mr. Brigs sneered at us. He basically directed his nasty stare straight towards Seth and I.

    Chapter Three ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_47/set?id=57488163
"It's positive. Sienna, the goddamnn stick is positive," I said pacing back and forth in my bathroom.
I felt tears streaming down my face, days after my missed period.
"Don't worry, we'll fix this!" She tried sounding hopeful as much as she could, but it didn't work.
"I can't just fix this!" I said grabbing my head with my hands.
What the hell was I going to do? Raise this child by myself?
    "I can't do this, I can't. It's too much. I can't raise a child by myself."
"Well, I'm assuming Alec is the father... right?" She asked, her voice trailing off.
    "Yes..."
"Well he's the father, have him help you raise it, after all it is both of yours child."
"No, Alec is not capable of raising a kid, no way, he's a jerk. I don't want him around me while I'm pregnant making jokes. He can't take anything serious."
"Well you have to call him and tell him, at least."
"Yeah, let me just call some guy I met a few days ago and be all like, 'oh yeah, and by the way, I'm having your freaking baby in nine months! See you then?!' Are you crazy Sienna!?"
"Okay, you're freaking out, and yelling, and you should calm down. Please," she said getting scared.
"I'm sorry, it's just, I'm really scared to tell him let alone go through with all of this." She patted my head and gave me a huge hug to reassure me.
    ***
"So, what was it you needed to tell me?" Alec said, staring into my eyes at the table in California Pizza Kitchen.
"Um, well, remember the other night?" I asked, my hands shaking.
He looked down at the table and grinned, "yeah..."
"Well, I'm, how do you call it.. uh, pregnant?" I said avoiding all possible eye contact.
"What?" He spat out in disbelief.
"I know," I said my eyes widening.
"So, I guess we're really doing this, I should probably quit at Hollister and find a real job."
"We? There is no we. There is you, and there is me." I made a bunch of hand gestures so he got the point.
"You can't not let me raise my own child, that's not acceptable," he said, raising his voice.
"Oh please, like you even wanted this. Neither of us did! Plus, you act like you're family man of the year, hello! You work as a model at Hollister! Let's get real here!" I could tell what I said offended him, but frankly I didn't care at all.
He stormed out of the restaurant, so I threw down a 20 and followed behind him.
"Don't act like you want to have this baby, I don't, but I'm certainly not giving this up."
There was no one outside the restaurant, considering it was Tuesday afternoon.
It was silent, and he refused to talk to me.
"Listen, we were both really drunk that night - "
"Drunk? I've never drank in my life." He interrupted.
"Excuse me? You asked if I wanted any, assuming you meant alcohol," I pointed out.
"I asked if you wanted any WATER, you said you already had some, and handed up a WATER bottle, I had nothing to drink. I guess the protection broke, though." This was the first innocent-sounding thing he's said all night.
"B-but, so that means... you actually did it because you wanted to?" I asked confused.
"Of course. I was completely sober then, and I'm completely sober now. I mean everything I said about wanting to have this baby with you. Even though I barely know you, I feel a connection." He said inching closer to my face.
I knew that look on his face, he was about to kiss me.
"Well, that's a one-way street, buddy, and I refuse to let you raise and or have this baby with me. Sorry, but I'm the pregnant one here, not you, it's my decision."
I abruptly turned around and walked briskly to my car that was three rows away, leaving him to stand there by himself.
"You wouldn't even be here without me!" He yelled.
I refused to look back or answer, which led to absolute silence, and still a man standing in the parking lot by himself.
    Oh well.

    Chapter Two ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_47/set?id=57488163
    http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_49/set?id=57570774
I fluffed my hair and smacked on some lipgloss.
I changed from the t-shirt I was in for makeup purposes to my shirt that Alec had picked out for me.
Examining myself in the full-length mirror, I smiled at my hipbones and collarbone.
The doorbell rang non-stop to the point where we decided to leave it open since it was so annoying.
There were hundreds of people in our fairly large house within just 2 hours.
Sienna was doing finishing touches on Calli's outfit and hair.
I looked around for Alec, who was nowhere to be found so far.
I felt a hand slip around my shoulder so I turned around to face Alec's huge grin on his face.
"I see you're enjoying yourself," I laughed getting out of his grip.
"Want some?" He asked thrusting the cup towards me.
"No thanks, I've got my own," I said holding up my "water" bottle.
"I told you that outfit would look good on you!" He said scanning my body.
I smiled, and I could tell he was staring at my cheek dimples.
"You're really cute, we should uh, go upstairs," he winked.
"Nah, gotta make sure my house doesn't get ruined."
I knew exactly where he was going with this, and I did not approve.
Sure, he's cute to go out with a few times, but not v-card worthy.
He seems like a total jerk - y'know: model, hot, douchey - and I want my first time to be special.
Callie and Sienna came down with shocked faces that I was talking to someone so hot.
"Is he that model that works in Hollister, Ari?" Sienna asked into my ear.
I nodded and their faces lit up.
They introduced themselves and Alec grabbed some guys by the arm.
"Forgot to mention, I brought my brother, Taylor, and my best friend Reid. Hope you don't mind," he said patting their backs.
"Not at all, I'm Arianna, you can call me Ari if you want, though," I said, as Taylor and I locked eyes.
"Sienna," she said sticking out her hand.
    "Callie," she did the same.
    ***
A few hours and a lot of drinks later I found myself making out with Alec in the pitch black in my bedroom.
I felt his large hands fumble with my skinny jeans button so I helped him.
"Don't worry, I have protection," he whispered between kisses.
Being so drunk, I didn't feel the need to make sure he was telling the truth.
He unhooked my lace Victoria's Secret bra and rip it off of me.
I heard the metal clips on it hit the wooden floor of my room.
"I really like you, this isn't just a one-time-thing," he said into my ear as I slipped the jeans off of me.
I could feel his hot breath on my neck, which turned me on.
He picked me up and put me underneath him.
Little did I know where this night was gonna take me...

    Chapter One ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_47/set?id=57488163
"Ari! Do you have classes today?"
I stumbled down the stairs rubbing my eyes as Callie placed the orange juice back in the fridge.
I looked at the clock on the microwave, 10 a.m.
"Uh, no, not today. Goddamnn, my head is pounding." I said looking for the Advil in the cupboard.
"Rough night?" Sienna said, cutting up her chocolate chip pancake.
"You have no idea," I said rolling my eyes.
I grabbed a corn muffin and slumped into the barstool in my kitchen.
"I have classes that start in 20, so I'm gonna leave now," Callie said walking towards the door.
"See you later, party here tonight, don't forget!" Sienna said as Callie slammed the door shut.
"Ready for round two, party animal? Maybe you could even lose your v-card tonight?" She asked giggling.
I know, it sounds strange; huge party animal, soon-to-be junior in college, "hot" girl is a virgin, but I'm saving it for someone special.
I closed my eyes and rested my head in my hand.
I let a smile slip across my face as I forced my eyelids open, "of course. But I'm saving it and you know that."
"Fine, but you should go take a shower," she said making a face, "and how do you feel about today for our monthy mall crawl?"
"Perf," I said, "I'll take my muffin to-go then."
I thumped up to my fairly large black-and-white-withasplashof-red room to shower.
As I waited for the shower to heat up, I decided to check my Twitter and promo my party.
Party tonight, my house, the usual! if you miss it, #you'llregretit
I put my phone in the speakers and blasted my music as I got in the shower.
    ***
"I love that top!" Sienna squealed, running for the black sequin tube top in H&M.
"It's alright, it'll look good on you though," I said as she grabbed a small.
There was nothing in the store I liked, so she bought the shirt and we left.
"How about Hollister?" My eyes widened as I saw the store.
I walked in, clearly they renovated.
By accident I turned left into the male section, which used to be the female.
I bumped into a tall athletic-looking brunette who looked like the model in the picture.
"Need help... missss...ter?" He pretended to question my sexuality considering I was clearly not in the woman's section.
"Wrong side, sorry," I flushed with embarrassment.
"It's cool, need help finding anything?" He said, following me like a puppy to the other side.
I turned my head as I kept walking.
"Do you work here?" He looked offended as he stopped dead in his tracks in front of the blown up photo in the entrance.
"How do you not recognize a face and body like that, I mean, come on," he said smiling slyly.
"Well, aren't you modest, but don't they usually not hire models in the stores?"
    "I'm different," he smirked.
    "How so?"
"Because I'm freaking awesome." He said pointing at his face.
"Right," I nodded as I started looking for a cute shirt for tonight.
"What're you shopping for?" He asked, peeking over my shoulder.
I turned around to answer him.
"Is that really any of your busine-" I was face to face with him, basically touching faces, and practically captivated by his gorgeous blue eyes.
"No, but I'm curious," he said, stepping back.
"Well, I'm having a party at my house tonight, since you're itching to know." I said matter-of-factly.
"Ooh, a party, but house? Not even like a sorority or frat, I know you're tiny but still, highschool with the 'rents?" His eyebrows knit together in confusion.
"Actually, two roomates and I have a house off-campus, I'm gonna be a junior at UCLA." I said.
"I'm gonna be a senior there, how come I don't know you?" He asked.
"I dunno, but you've never lived until you met me," I said smiling.
A grin slipped accross his face as he reached into my back pocket and grabbed my iPhone.
He added his number and handed me the phone back.
"Well, Alec, I guess I'll see you tonight," I couldn't stop smiling.
"Now about that outfit, green won't look good on you," he said taking the shirt I picked up.
He grabbed the white version and handed it to me.
"Maybe jeans would work with that..." he said, "I'm gonna create the look of the century for you," he said with jazz hands.
I laughed like a little girl and followed him around the store as he grabbed random things for me.

    Prologue ~ http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_47/set?id=57488163
Hi. My name is Arianna Abbott, and people call me either Ari or AA. Mostly because I'm known for my heavy drinking, and it happens to also be my initials. A pun, I guess. I have quite a crazy life, but I'm in love with it and I love the world I live in. My entire family is filled with entrepreneurs, which makes my family like, gagillionaires. It's me, my 30-year-old sister, 26-year-old brother, my mother, and my father. My two best friends are Callie Monroe and Sienna Holt. I'm the most popular girl in my class, everyone knows me, and I may seem outgoing to everyone, but truth is, I hate the attention. I'm finishing up my sophomore year at UCLA, and I start my junior year in the fall. My friends and I pay for our luxurious house in California just off campus, thanks to the jobs my sister provided for us at her high-end makeup company, Luxx. I'm known for my insane party-personality and my "hot body", but I never knew life could throw me such a curveball until now. I'm just another girl who's scared of the world, but I act fearless.

I know it seems confusing, but there's a bigger plot than just her life, this is just like, a get-to-know-the-character I guess you could say (: I would tell you what but I don't wanna give away the whole story, but it'll be "revealed" in the next few chapters!

I know my story "take me or leave me" only has 4 chapters so far, but I'm just going to stop writing it. I lose about 10-20+ faves each time I upload a chapter, and there's no point in writing it if people don't like it anymore. The first chapter had 81 faves and now I'm getting 32 faves. I'm not saying I'm going to stop writing in general, because I have a prologue for something I hope you'll like better, and I will post it shortly. It's called "just like that" and I hope you like it xxx

    take me or leave me
    Part Four // http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_46/set?id=56401995
    "Five, four, three, two...." Beeeeep.
The basketball challenge ended, I scored 20, while my sister scored 6.
"Ha ha, I win again, Elle," I bragged as she playfully punched my arm.
"Soph, your turn," Elle said as she scooched over and made room for her.
"I'm playing you? Uh-uh, nope, not happening," Sophie said crossing her arms.
Just then, a guy who was about 5'11 with poop colored hair pushed me aside.
"I'll play you, if that's alright with you," he said in his thick Australian accent.
Great, accents, Sophie and Elle's favorite.
"Okay," she was practically mesmerized by him.
"Sophie, quit drooling," I said as she shot me a death stare.
I gave him the spot and watched as he let her win by 10 shots.
I rolled my eyes when she actually thought she was better.
"That's like, the oldest trick in the book," I whispered to Elle a safe distance away from Sophie.
"The helll do you care anyway, Dylan? So what if he's trying to pick her up, let it happen. She needs it after Matt." She hissed at me as she squinted her eyes.
I rolled my eyes as the buzzer went off in the arcade.
"I'm Wes," he said reaching his hand out to her.
"I'm...I'm...." Clearly she didn't remember her name.
"Sophie." I coughed into her ear.
    "S-Sophie, yeah, Sophie," she stammered.
We went to redeem our tickets from previous games at the counter.
There was a hot girl working the prizes, so I tried to hit on her.
"Hey, what's your name?" I asked.
"Not interested," she snarled at me.
"Fine, I'll take that teddy bear right there then," I said pointing to the one I liked.
"Which one of your girlfriends is it for?" She asked.
"Excuse me? That's none of your business. But if you must know, I have none." I added an attitude.
She rolled her eyes and collected my tickets.
I left with my teddy bear and turned around to see my sister and Sophie laughing.
I mocked them and walked past them to the ice cream shop.
We waited in line and got our food and then met my mom on the benches - she was shopping.
"So, what do you guys have in mind for our summer vacation? This year can we please not go somewhere warm, this Florida heat is really getting to me." My mom said, licking her vanilla soft-serve.
Every year, my family and Sophie and her mother and one of my friends go on a summer vacation for the entire summer. Each year we've gone to either Cabo, the Virgin Islands, California, etc.
"I have an idea! I read about it online!" Sophie said crossing her legs.
"What is it, sweetie?" My mom asked getting excited.
"We could go to Whistler, Canada. They have an amazing ski resort, it's supposedly really beautiful and amazing! And it's not that cold during the summer!" Hm, Canada, never been there.
"I love that idea!" Elle said jumping up and down.
"We'll talk to your mother and decide over dinner tonight," my mom said smiling from ear to ear.
I knew my mom wanted to go - it was obvious she was excited.
I just had no clue who I was going to invite.
I needed someone that wasn't going to hit on my sister and Sophie, but who?
