This was a horrifying sight, that I wish I could just erase from my memory...
So my parents are divorced. And my mom went to a hotel in the city where my dad lives, because she needed to get some medicine and go to the doctor. My dad drove me over to the hotel. I got bored of waiting for my mom, so I looked out the window. There stood a teenage girl -- maybe 14 or 15 years old? And there was a little boy with her. The little boy was maybe 4 or 5 years old? I watched as the little boy ran around the courtyard of the hotel. The girl payed no attention to the little boy either. I watched as the girl pulled up the sleeve of her baggy lavender shirt. And that girl had what looked to be a dagger or at least some kind of knife that if you weren't careful, you'd get seriously hurt. Remember. The little boy is still playing in the background. Back to the girl. The girl starts to dig the knife into her wrist. I turn back to my dad and say "Dad! She's cutting her wrists!" My dad ignores me. I look back at her. The girl walked over to where the little boy was playing. She picked up a pair of shoes. I could see blood flowing down her arm, where she had dug the knife into her arm. Once again, I turn back to my dad and say "Dad!! She's cuttiong her wrists!!" Once again, my dad ignores me. I didn't know what to do.
At this point in time, I wish I could just erase that memory from my mind. But every night... I think about that girl.
