yes. Rights have everything to do with the way people act towards you. Are you saying that during the civil rights movement, the fact that white people made black people use different water fountains and restaurants and everything else had nothing to do with it? If white people had accepted black people (considering the white people were in a place of privilege at the time), that would be giving them their rights. I have the RIGHT to be respected. I have the RIGHT to own my body. , yeah, it's punished by law. Ideally. But only 3 in 100 rapists will ever spend a day in jail. The fact that something is illegal does not mean you will be punished for doing it every time. They have to pay child support, yeah, but a check that most people will do anything not to send is not the same thing as a nurturing parent to help raise the child they made.
