There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
    And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,
Robins will wear their feathery fire
    Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.
Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
    If mankind perished utterly;
And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone.

That moment when a picture, or a song, or even a simple sentence reminds you of a memory from when you were happy, and you just sit there and reminisce with a smile on your lips, tears in your eyes, and your chest aches to go back to the easier days. Whether the memory was a long time ago, or even a few days, it made you so happy, you just forgot all of the pain and loss you've ever felt, and let yourself have fun. You sit there, remembering because for that little while, your life was absolutely perfect. It was so good, you wouldn't change a single part of your life at all just so you could experience that moment of sheer joy. And then you sit there, slowly coming back to life, and your chest aches, as you promise yourself that you will feel that happiness again.

So yes. Let's make guns illegal.
Because marijuana is illegal, and NO ONE smokes weed.
Because alcohol was once illegal, and NO ONE drank.
Because killing people in general is illegal, and NO ONE does that.
So yes. Let's make guns illegal. Because I'm sure that if we do, the bad people out there will NEVER be able to access them.
The Second Amendment is there for a reason.
When someone tries to take it away, that's when you know you really need it.

    I love giving out compliments.
    Honest, sincere compliments.
    Why?
    When i get a compliment, I feel like I'm on Cloud 9.
I think everyone should feel this way all the time.
    Feel like they're appreciated.
    Feel like someone noticed them.

Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
    he wrote a poem
    and he called it "chops"
because that was the name of his dog
and thats what it was all about
his teacher gave him an A
    and a gold star
and his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts.
that was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
and he let them sing on the bus
and his little sister was born
with tiny nails and no hair
and his mother and father kissed a lot
and the girl around the corer sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his faher what the X's meant
and his father always tucked him in bed at night
and was always there to do it
Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
    he wrote a poem
    he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
and that's what it was all about
and his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
    because of the new paint
    and the kids told him
    that Father Tracy smoked cigars
and left butts on the pews
and sometime they would burn holes
that was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
and the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
and the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot
and his father never tucked him in bed at night
    and his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it
Once on a paper torn from his notebook
    he wrote a poem
and he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
and that's what it was all about
and his professor gave him an A
    and a strange steady look
and his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
    because he never showed her
that was the year Father Tracy died
and he forgot how the end
    of the Apostle's Creed went
    and he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
and his mother and father never kissed
    or even talked
and the girl around the corner
    wore too much make up
that made him cough when he kissed her
    but he kissed her anyway
becuase it was the thing to do
and at 3 am he tucked himself into bed
    his father snoring soundly
That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
    he tried another poem
and he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
because that's what it was really all about
and he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
and he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
    he could reach the kitchen.
    -Perks of Being a Wallflower

take a second, and think about that weird kid in your class.
    maybe they dress different.
    maybe they act out.
maybe they don't say a word.
    who comes to mind?
    now think.
how many times have you read something saying
    "DON'T JUDGE PEOPLE"
    you just did.
    remember the weird kid?
I'm not saying judging people is a good thing.
but it's impossible for people not to.
so I'm getting pretty sick of people giving each other nasty comments about judging people.
you can't say you don't judge.
    you do.
it's in the most primal of your instincts.
    judging is bad.
but we all have bad in ourselves.
you're no different than everyone else.
(not trying to be rude, it's my opinion.)

did all of it mean nothing?
    the texts,
    the smiles,
    the talks,
    the calls,
    the laughs,
    the memories,
    the moments,
    the hugs,
    the love?
did they mean nothing to him?
    they meant everything to me.

    it's amazing how things change.
the guy I like is asking me advice about his girlfriend. and all I can think about is that if I hadn't made that stupid decision, he'd be asking other people advice about me.

    Please Tell Me.
how many more beautiful girls have to die before everyone takes a moment to realize what is happening to witty?
how many more girls have to die before we all remember why we joined this website?
I don't know about you guys, but I joined Witty for the friendship, the love, and the feeling of sisterhood, the feeling that I finally belonged somewhere, that I wasn't alone in my daily struggles.
now girls are dying because we are forgetting the real reason we are all here.
come on, Witty sisters and brothers.
    save a life, two, three.
    remember why you're here.
