I'm not agnostic because I don't believe... I'm agnostic because I don't know what to believe. It's not that I don't have faith... it's just that my faith isn't exclusive.

What is love? Is it realizing that, regardless of whether or not you will ever be with him, you will never truly fall for another?

another original poem.. I'm sure a lot of you ladies can relate to this one ;) and again, feedback is more than welcome!
    His smile is so uplifting,
    It brightens up my day.
I love the looks he gives me
in response to what I say.
I love how he always knows
    exactly how I feel.
Even when I try to hide it,
    shut tight with a seal.
It must sound like I love him,
and I guess I kinda do.
But since he is my best friend,
    we can't be sweethearts too.
He'll never try to hurt me,
I trust him with my life.
He's the one I turn to
in my times of grief and strife.
    Even when I'm crying,
    he can make me laugh.
    When I find myself drowning,
    he's my life-saver, my raft.
It must sound like I love him,
and I guess I kinda do.
But since he is my best friend,
    we can't be sweethearts too.
    I wonder if he knows...
I wonder if he can see...
I tell him all the time...
how much he means to me.
My best friend is my favorite,
the thought of losing him makes me cry.
If something were to happen to him,
a part of me would die.
It must sound like I love him,
and deep down I know I do.
He's my best friend now and always,
'til death it will be true.

This is an original poem... it's kind of long but I'd really appreciate some feedback! :)
    Today I witnessed something
    I'd hoped I'd never see.
    A little fair-haired boy
    fell out of a tree.
    When he hit the ground
he held his arm and cried in pain.
But his mom was on the phone
and so he cried in vain.
I put my load of groceries
    right down on the street,
    walked up to the boy
and set him on his feet.
    I looked over my shoulder
and gave his mom a shout.
"Your little boy is hurt," I yelled
"how 'bout you help me out?"
"Can it wait a sec?" she asked,
    "I'm busy with this call."
    She didn't seem to care
    about her young one's fall.
So here I was, this stranger,
didn't know the young boy's name,
and yet I was more loving
than his mom could fairly claim.
I turned back to the boy
    and wiped away his tears.
He wrapped his arms around me,
    confirming my worst fears.
    This boy was so alone
    in this crazy place.
I saw how lucky I was
as I looked at his tear-stained face.
People that have kids these days
    are certainly unfit.
If you're bringing life into this world,
    you should look after it.
As I held the crying boy
    someone tapped my shoulder.
    "Excuse me who are you?"
She asked and looked me over.
    Calmly I stood up,
    looked at her and replied,
"well ma'am I am the one
who calmed this boy as he cried.
I am one of the many
    more caring than you.
    Believe me when I say
there are more than just a few.
    Maybe you didn't know this
but you have a little boy.
You can't just buy a new one,
    he's not just another toy.
    You should come to realize
    that you influence his life.
Eventually he'll stop coming to you
in times of grief and strife."
    Incredulous the woman stared
    with her eyes so wide.
    My agitation and anger
I made no attempt to hide.
    I pointed down the street
to the house where I reside.
    "Next time you are negligent,
    in me he can confide."
    I hugged the boy again,
grabbed my bags and headed out.
Shaking my head as I turned
and saw the mom's disdainful pout.
    Someday I hope this world
    will be a better place
    for children to grow up
with a smile on their face.
    But until that day comes,
    children will prove their strength
    by surviving as their parents
    drive them to such lengths.
