Part 1
Clara Deckard strided up to Mr. Wilson's desk, mumbled some things, then ran out of the class room with tears filling her eyes. I stared at my shoes, to keep myself from cracking up. Not that anyone would care, everyone loves me. Or acts like they do. "Ignore that," Mr. Wilson stood up from his chair. "Continue working on your assingments." He is sooooo uptight. I wish someone would loosen him up a bit. The lunch bell rang and I hurried out the door. "Hey Kylie," Dustin McKinley smiled at me as I sat down at a table by myself. Why was he talking to me? He was popular...I mean, so am I. But, not as popular as he is. "Hi, Dustin." I almost shreiked, afraid I would drop my apple. He laughed and bit his lip, "Can I sit here?" I looked around me, checking to make sure he was talking to me. "Uh," I took another bite of my apple, hoping to scare him away. "Sure." He placed his tray across from mine and sat. Here's the thing about Dustin McKinley. He is very very very popular. But, he is a major jerk and goof-off. No one really likes him. But in a way they do. "So, how was Mr. Wilson's class? I heard Clara totally lost it." God, I almost forgot about the leader of the Pretty Comitee, running out at homeroom. "Uh, I didn't want to laugh," I smiled. "But, at the same time...I did." He grinned. We ate our lunch fast so we still had time to talk. "Are you going with anyone to homecoming?" He blurted out. I wasn't planning on going to homecoming...because no one asked me. And, It was next weekend. "No, uhm...I mean, no one has asked me yet. Why?" I knew "Why?" of course, he was clearly asking me. And I would say n-o, no. "Because, I was wondering if you wanted to...go together." GOD DAMMIT! I didn't actually think he would ask me!! I couldn't say no, and I didn't. "Sure, sounds fun. See you later." I grabbed my empty tray and ran out of there.
