What are some arguments for the affirmative side? Because I don't really know where to start.

As someone with a bit of debating experience myself, I would recommend going from first-principles. Initially, don't ask yourself the simple linear question of whether seats should be reserved or not. Consider the core issue: that is, how does one reconcile the treatment of indigenous Australians in the past with the political and social challenges of the present? Then move to assess that core issue in the language of the debate: what is the significance of reserving seats in terms of rectifying the injustices associated with the treatment of indigenous Australians?

If you go from first principles, you partially avoid the problem that debaters often find themselves confronting - that is, "I've searched online for 'reserving seats in parliaments for Aboriginal people' but I can't find much!" It allows you to look at similar issues or associated issues, and draw lessons from those. Consider, for instance, the arguments surrounding affirmative action - should we positively discriminate in favour of indigenous Australians in order to address their past disadvantage? Then shift that argument into the field of this debate: should we positively discriminate in favour of indigenous Australians in Parliament in order to address their past lack of representation?
