So I've only been on Witty for a few weeks but...
Witty Sisters...
I've noticed some things that really concern me.
The main thing is that so many of you wonderful girls seem to be defining themselves in terms of guys: whether they are your boyfriends, crushes, exes or even guy best friend.
THIS IS SO WRONG!
You're all amazing people in your own right and you shouldn't see yourself solely in terms of what other people think of you or how they make you feel!!
I'm not saying it is wrong to have deep feelings for someone, because deep and honest love is the most amazing feeling ever.
Don't run away from love, but don't change yourself for a boy.
Don't drop all your own interests and friends for a boy.
I learnt the hard way. My love bubble burst, as bubbles often do and I fell apart.
I'm not saying you won't be in pain, but stay true to yourself.
I don't have the answers. I wish I did because I most certainly fall too hard.
Just please don't lose yourselves in another person.

i wish my family was normal.
don't get me wrong.
i love them.
but i wish i could change everything about them.
this isn't usual teen angst.
i'm not just saying they're different.
they are different.
this isn't just a teen complaining.
i'm not a teenager.
i'm not bitter and angry,
in the middle of a fight.
this is me,
a twenty-something university student
on an ordinary day
just wishing they were different.

I hate that Rowling let Scholastic change the title from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
I hate that they thought children wouldn't read a book with the word Philosopher in it.
I did.
I had people tease me because they'd never heard of it .
Plus it's just a much better title.
