The New Me
Chapter 2
Addison's P.O.V
I walked out of the room, looking for mum. She was in the kitchen, on the phone. "Yes, this is Janelle Jones, and yep i'm calling up for the divorce papers" Divorce papers?? What was going on? She turned and saw me standing there. She hung up and asked; "Addison dear, how much of that did you hear?" "Enough." i replied stomping upstairs to my room. A billion questions ran through my mind; 'why?' 'don't they love each other?' 'Why were they acting so normal around each other?' I am now lying on my bed, sobbing softly into my pillow. 'Does this mean i won't be going to a new school?' i wondered aloud. Just then, my mum walked in. "Addison, come downstairs to the living room, your brother's here and we will be discussing this." she said, with a tired look on her face. I quickly went downstairs, not wanting any further problems.
" Now, Addison and Greg, you both know how much we love you." Dad said. "Yeah right" Greg muttered under his breath, "And Addie,don't worry you'll still be going to a different school but.." mum added. Oh great, now what?! "but.. in New York, your father and i have decided that he will be staying here, and we, as in Greg, you and I, are moving to New York" I tried not to show it, but deep down i was jumping up and down with joy! New York!! That's so amazing!
" So that also means that you won't be able to see your father too often, you will come visit him, here in Australia every 3 months or so. Greg will be going to college in New York" My mum stated. "So both of you, start packing we leave in two days. I went to the garage and got some empty boxes, and started packing. From my room, i could hear Greg on the phone, breaking up with his current girlfriend. He is my brother, but Greg is one of the jerks in our school, as in one of the player's of our school. Let's just hope he doesn't break the girl's hearts too hard..

The day had come, we were going to New York. We hugged our dad goodbye, and went to the airport. On the plane i noticed a really hot guy, he had blonde shaggy hair and stunning blue eyes, not like i'd have a chance with him though. The entire trip there, he was listening to music. At one stage though, he got up and started walking my way. My heart fluttered, he wasn't walking to me right? Right. He was walking to Greg, apparently they knew each other. The guy's name was Connor.
"please fasten your seatbelts, we are about to land" announced the pilot. yes! we were here! On the trip, i have decided that i'm going to make major changes in myself.
