Chapter One
Brianna's POV
I studied the mirror closely. “Does this look okay?” I asked my friend, Ally. “I dunno,” Ally shrugged. “You look good, but it doesn’t look right on you.” “I don’t like it,” my mom said. “I guess you’re right,” I sighed, looking at the mirror one more time. I disappeared into the dressing room again, determined to find the perfect dress for Prom.
Why? Well, it was because my boyfriend, Harry, was coming from his tour to take me to Prom, just like Liam was taking Ally and Niall was taking Huda. Ally had already found the perfect dress (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=48142204) and a neck lace that Liam got her. It accentuated her small stomach and perfect curves. Ally was a gorgeous girl, and I sometimes felt over shadowed by her, because she was such an outgoing person. I was shier and more withdrawn, except for when it was around Harry. Harry knew everything about me, and still lived me.
I’m never going to find the right dress, I thought, taking off the huge ball gown I had just tried on. I looked at the last dress I hadn’t tried on. It was the most expensive, but it was unique, like me. I squinted my amber- green eyes at it and smiled slyly. “You might just be the one,” I whispered to myself. I pulled myself into the dress, and walked out of the room, zipping it as I went. “So? What do you think?” I questioned my mother and Ally, looking at myself in the mirror for the first time. “It’s stunning,” my mom said. “I’m… speechless,” Ally breathed.
Anyone could easily understand why. The sweetheart neckline gave me a little ‘lift’ but not too much, and the ivory- white color didn’t wash out my tan skin like most other dresses had. A sales lady came up behind me. “This is the dress! It’s SO fabulous!” She said, trying to persuade everyone into the dress. “You don’t have to convince her, she already likes it!” Ally giggled bluntly. The lady smirked. “I’d like to get this one,” I said, twirling in it, laughing. “Okay, why don’t you go take this off, then meet me at the counter and we’ll talk prices, m’kay?” She asked. “Cool,” I said, scurrying to the dressing room.
When I arrived, I pulled off the dress, put it on the hanger, and started to get dressed. I stuck my hand in my pants pocket, and felt a paper with my finger tips. I pulled it out gently, uncrumbling it. I brought it up to my eyes, studying the small writing that was absolutely Harry’s. The paper read, “Good luck dress hunting, gorgeous. XOXO, Me”
