She woke up in her youngest sons bed,
the one who died yesterday.
she had dry tears on her face and didn't want to go on with the day.
she saw a note next to her that said dear mom.
she was confused but kept reading.
Dear Mom,
the car crash yesterday was terrible.
im so glad to know that you were there for me though.
i love you so much, i hope you know that
and will never forget that.
you were the best mom i could ever ask for
and i know that sometimes i took it for granite, all the things you did for me. but im so thankful.
God was there too, holding your hand.
i saw him, mom.
It was beautiful. heaven is beautiful.
i will miss you, mom.
Im sitting on God's lap right now
as im writing this.
i had an angel give it to you
but i knew youd be asleep.
you would always go to sleep at 10:00
every night.
and tuck me in, and we would say our prayers.
pray for all those who are less fortunate than we are.
and those who are sick or injured.
i was lucky, mom
to die like this.
i had a good life and it was my time to die.
some people die because they didn't have a good life.
its okay that i died. i like it up here.
but i will miss you, mom.
please never cry for me.
its going to be okay, because i will see you someday, i promise.
