wake up on the wrong side of the bed, cold shower, skip breakfast,
miss the bus, jammed locker, lose your homework, failed a test,

there i was lying in bed,
wondering if he had > already fallen asleep <. maybe he
was watching tv. . . .or texting his brains out. i wondered if
he was outside taking his dog for a walk, or eating desert.
i wondered if he was reading a book ///maybe even doing
his homework. but the thing i w o n d e r e d the most was,
