Broken Promises
Chapter 1
"Gosh mom no!" I screamed. It was my Summer Vacation and mom and dad had to go to Bangkok for business matters.
"Sorry darling, but we have to. We really don't want to leave you alone, but we have to." Dad said. Tears were forming in my eyes. I don't even know why I was crying but, yes, I was.
"So- so when are you gonna be back?" I asked them. Mom sighed. "Two years," My jaw dropped open. "WHAT?! TWO FREAKING YEARS??"
"Yes. Okay, we better leave now," Dad said. Mom and dad hugged me one last time and left. I have to stay here, alone, for two years. Wow. It was almost 9pm. I took a shower and went to sleep.
When I woke up the next morning, my hair was in a mess. Like it always is. My blue eyes were so tired and sleepy. I had a shower and I then curled my brown-ish hair and put on a pink tank top and shorts. I went down for breakfast. "Mooooom, where's my breakfast?" and then I remembered that mom wasn't here. Neither was dad. I made pancakes for myself and went outside for a walk. Before I could even leave my driveway,
"Hey!" Someone said. I didn't recognise the voice. Maybe a new neighbour because I saw a truck in front of my neighbour's house yesterday... I snapped myself out of my thoughts. "Hey," I smiled back. Woah woah woah, this guy is perfection. His emerald green eyes, brown hair, which resembled mine a lot and sexy body, made me drool over him. He looked around 18. I was 18 myself.
"Are you new here?" I asked him. "Yeah..." I guess he was checking me out. I cleared my throat. "Wanna come in home?" I tried being sweet, which is quite hard for me. No well, I ain't that bad. "Sure, if you don't mind,"
"Nah I don't" I simply said. He smiled at me and held my hand. I was taken by surprise. I've just known him for one minute and... what?!
"Nice home...." He paused, maybe asking me for my name. "Skylar," I told him and he smiled again. I smiled back. Aww, he's cute. "And you are?" I asked. "Alex" "Nice name, Alex." His name was perfect for him, sexy man. Oh Gosh what am I thinking of?!
We entered my sweet little home and sat on the couch. "So, why did you move here? I mean-" I sounded so stupid. "Yeah, I get it. Well, my parents wanted to so... we did" We laughed and had fun together though we've known each other for so less.
"Where are your parents? Or siblings?" He asked me out of nowhere. "Oh well, my parents are gone to Bangkok for two years and I have no siblings...." I replied. Ugh, my parents. "Oh... well, I gotta go for now! I'll catch you later, maybe at 6 in the evening?" Alex asked me. "Sure!" I said with a smile.
