Losing
Chapter 2
I bit my lip as I opened the laptop, turning onto facebook. I could feel the hair on the back of my neck start to slide up.
I didnt believe in life after death; they didnt live on after in reality but I think they lived on in our hearts and minds.
"Eliza..."
I felt the blood run through my veins and down into my heart, which was now throbbing against my ribcage. I didnt believe in life after death, I just didnt want to turn around just in case it was... something...
I felt my ears throb, my mind slowly remembering who's voice that was.
"Em?" I asked, feeling annoyed. How could I get scared by something like that?
I turned around, my heart jittering against my skin.
"She didnt leave anything like a note, she's just gone,"
I rolled my eyes, feeling myself pulse into anger.
"For ** sake, come on," I muttered, shutting my laptop, grabbing my phone and walking downstairs. I could hear her behind me but her steps were faint, like litle baby steps running down tha hallway.
"Where're we going?"
"To the supermarket,"
"Why?"
"We're going to meet mom there, so that you calm down and we can get things over with," I ordered over my shoulder, grabbing my combat boots and jacket.
"Why can't we just call her?" she asked, grabbing her trainers and her duffel coat, following me, "It's more practical,"
I would've prefered to call her but I could feel something wasnt right; the way the air settles around me. The way every shadow slid into my view, like it could suddenly move.
Like there was a ghost.
