Caylee Anthony's Mother, Casey Anthony, waited 1 month before she reported her daughter who was 2 years at the time, had gone missing. And it wasnt even Casey who reported her disappearance, it was Caylee's Grandma, Cynthia Anthony, Who was Casey's Mum. At 8:44pm, on July 15th 2008, Cynthia Anthony called 911 to report that she had a 3 year old that has been missing for a month. She said to the Dispatcher, "My daughter Casey Anthony had stolen my car and some money which was four weeks ago. I found my daughter, but not my Grandchild." 1 hour later, Cynthia called 911 again. This time she sounded panicked. She said to 911, "There’s something wrong! I Found my daughters car today and it smells like there’s been a dead body in the stupid car!" Cynthia said she had not seen her granddaughter since the middle of june. The dispatcher asked to speak to Caylee's Mother, Casey. Casey said; "My daughters been missing for 31 days," She said. " I know who has her, Ive tried to contact her." Casey told the dispatcher she got a call from Caylee earlier that day, but the call only lasted a minute before somebody hung up the phone. Casey said when she tried to call the number back, it was out of service. Casey said Caylee's Nanny, who she identified a girl named Zenaida, who had been babysitting Caylee for nearly 2 years had kidnapped the little girl. The dispatcher asked "Why are you calling now? Why not 31 days ago?" Casey replied "I’ve been looking for her and going through other resources to try and find her, which was stupid." The story didn’t sound right, a young mother who waited 1 month to report that her daughter, not quite 3 years old had been kidnapped? Caylee's third birthday came and went, with no news where Caylee was. In late august, the police looked at some files of Caylee, and on one it said Casey wanted to put Caylee up for adoption, a friend of Cindy's said, but Cindy’s mum wouldn’t let her. On august 31st, confirms hair found in the trunk of Casey's car belonged to Caylee. On December 11th, the skeleton remains of a young child are found a quarter mile away from Casey's home. On December 19th, the cops reveal the skeleton remians found near the home do belong to Caylee Marie Anthony. Casey was taken to jail again, had a bond put in, got out then got put back in for good for child neglect.
