Chapter 3: Noelle P.O.V
Well the first day of any school year sucks. It sucks even more when you are going to a new school. You get judged the minute you walk through the doors of the school. The good thing is that I made some friends. I was in English when I met this girl named Karley. She was tall and had reddish brown hair and she played basketball. She was really nice and invited me to sit with her at lunch because we had the same lunch period. Her friends were named Vickie, Julia, Katie, and Hannah. They were all pretty nice. They were nothing like my friends back home…if you even call those people friends. But it was nice to be in a group of people who seemed to actually like me.
“So where are you from?” asked Vickie.
“Im from a small town in California, you wouldn’t have heard of it.” I answered.
“You lived in California!!! You’re so lucky,” replied Julia, “I have always wanted to live there!”
“It’s not that big of a deal. I mean the weather is really nice but other than that it’s kind of like here,” I said.
“Dude, you haven’t lived through one of our winters. They can be really bad.”
Damn I didn’t think of that. I HATE cold weather and who knows how long I’ll be living here for.
“So have you met anyone else that we might know?” asked Karley.
“Well I met this one guy…” I didn’t really want to tell them about Skylar but they might know him.
“Oooo,” squealed Katie “What’s his name!?”
“Skylar.” They all just stared at me it was beginning to get a little weird.
“Wait, you talked to Skylar,” whispered Hannah.
“Wait we don’t even know if it’s the Skylar,” answered Karley. “What did he look like?”
“Um he was tall, dark hair; brownish hazel eyes, and tan….” I answered.
“O gosh she got to talk to Skylar!!”Karley said. “You’re so lucky!”
“Wait back up, why am I so lucky its just some guy I met at the beach.”
“Skylar is the hottest, richest guy in this area and just about every girl in a 50 mile radius is trying to get him!” Julia told me.
O boy what have I gotten myself into? Did I have to fall for this guy! What are my chances of even seeing him again? And every girl is after him I’ll never get the time of day with him. I mean I’m a nobody compared to all the pretty girls who are throwing themselves at him. What in the world am I going to do?
