This is half true there are lots of speculations of where Memorial day actually came from, though in 1966 it was by congress declared to come from Waterloo, N.Y., in 1971 it was made a national holiday in December 2000, the U.S. Congress passed and the president signed into law “The National Moment of Remembrance Act,” P.L. 106-579, creating the White House Commission on the National Moment of Remembrance.At 3pm on memorial day you are suppose to take a moment of silence. reply

It doesn't clear out the old, if you die young without really living life....that happens to lots of people....not everyone lives a rich, full life and gets to grow old reply
