Forgot to include in my message: I opted for getting a permit first and I've been driving to work and a lil around town with that. My mom has entrusted me with her car and she does her best to keep her cool and advise me from the passenger seat. I'm hoping and praying I'll have built up enough skill and confidence to pass the test and get my license in another few months!

No worries! I'm amazed that we're hearing from & updating each other at all, the sheer luck of that is enough to cancel out the spaces between correspondence (and actually contrary to how it may appear I, myself, now go weeks without logging in, there's so little activity and no one to consistently speak to, being active daily would be madness! lol).
I'm looking at these five-year-old messages I wrote to you and all I can say is what a cringe fest! Youth and silliness go hand in hand 😂

Auburn hair and I have a really good relationship. I last got it dyed in January, need to shoot for another appointment by May. It's visibly faded at the bottom, a coworker asked me if it was ombre and I said not originally!
I'd love to show you a selfie, first I gotta get a new phone and take a good one. I'm curious to see what you look like nowadays too!

Weddings are so nice to be a part of but god can the cattiness come out in the bridal party. There were some minor bumps in the road leading up to my cousin's wedding, I dealt with some ageist bs that had my pride smarting, but for the most part it was a good experience.
How exciting for your best friend and for you, it must be an even better time when it's someone you're close with that's getting married! I'm not close with my cousin thanks to Hurricane Katrina destroying her house in our hometown and her family's relocation to Alabama when we were still very young. Besides that she always kind of held herself a little above me, she's an only child and I feel like she grew up a little faster because of the freedom that came with that. Despite these things, she's the closest I have ever had to a big sister and was my biggest childhood role model, I followed her around constantly and let her dress me up, show me how to act when she lived near me. It was an honor to be asked to be a part of her big day.

I don't recall if you told me this, I apologize if you did: what are you currently doing with your time? Are you working somewhere, going to school, both??
You're right that things have changed considerably over the years, it's kind of wonderful though. I'm starting to love time's tendency to take us new places - that's putting it broadly. :-)

I'm really awful at expressing myself especially through words so I apologize in advance. You are literally the queen of cuteness and flawlessness. I'm so proud of how far you've come and your happiness means more to me than anything else. I love talking to you so much that I wish it wouldn't end but life isn't fair so. Just know that you make me happy when I get a message from you and talk to you. You have such an adorable personality plus plus you're really funny and sweet. Basically what I'm saying is that you're the perfectest human being ever. You have the best of both worlds man like you're freaking hella gorgeous annnd you have the most wonderful personality. I don't know if this means what I think it does (you're leaving? D:), but regardless, I'll always be your friend & want to maintain contact with you. I've seen and know about less than half of the battles you've undoubtedly fought, but what I do see and deeply admire is your resilience, bravery, and inner and outer beauty. You have such a beautiful soul it's insane, and I've always been grateful that it crossed paths with mine. You're loving and supportive, and so freaking adorable. I didn't realize today was your birthdaaaay! OMFG, happy birthday, Taylar-waylar! Unfortunately, I can't make you half as great a gift as the one you made me (which, btw, I have bookmarked on my laptop and phone. I still look at it all the time & still manage to get butterflies when I see it). All I can do is leave you this comment, but hopefully it will suffice.

Taylar, I love you to death. I know you've been through hard times, and you're still struggling, but do you have any idea how fùcking strong you actually are? Your heart's been beating, you've been breathing, blinking, thinking, walking, talking, and functioning for 16 years. Even when you've wanted nothing more than to give up, you've resisted the urge and kept living. Every day you fight a battle, and every day you're victorious. I don't understand what exactly it's like to be in your shoes, and I hope I never have to, but I can honestly say that you amaze me. Your resilience inspires me.
