You aren't. Other people have complained about it to - and like I said, that is completely fine. Be annoyed if you want to be, but you can't make people not posts the quotes.
The best thing to do is ignore people who you see posts lots of tumblr quotes and scroll past the other ones.
This website was made for quotes in general, really.

i mean they're not their quotes. it's technically against the rules because it's not theirs. and i don't care about the whole against the rules thing but it really is unoriginal and they're pretending its their quote or whatever. it's not annoying like "these quotes are bad" its like "these aren't yours stop pretending they are." idk.

Nowhere in the rules does it say that taking a quote that is not yours is against the rules. If that was the case, people who post song lyrics or maybe line from a book are breaking the rules, because the quote is not theirs.
Not many people pretend that it is their quote, really. Most of them have something like 'tumblr' or 'nmq' in the tags, so they aren't stealing it or anything.
While it is unoriginal, you can't exactly stop them from taking it.
You can be annoyed at it, but you can't make them stop posting those quotes.

I cannot be the only one upset with this. what i mean by not theirs is like... not something famous people would recgonize.. made by.. ugh nvm. a lot of people pretend its theirs. ive only seen about 4 or 5 people put *tumblrr* under it or something... this website is for original quotes

And its really bothering me how some people are commenting things like death cab. these are people known all around the world, everyone knows at least who they are, and they brought something more to an element of music. mj brought a whole new era. beatles brought a new era as well. all of the ones you listed and the ones i did as well brought something new, not copied and changed a little. they started a trend of music. dkhsaofh JUST LETTING OFF SOME STEAM.
