Dear You,

People often judge from first glance, but you just have to be willing to have an open mind to experience someone different, cuz Im not like "all girls". I love music and I love to write; Im an artist. And Im not one of those artist who practice nothing but their craft everyday, but I want to showcase my skills in a unique way; I reach for the stars in everything I do. And even though Im pouring out my story to you, I always keep my guard up cuz I am scared to let anyone get close to me, so I push the ones who mean the most away from me; Im working on it, though. Even though that day was a cold,

rage-full fight with my emotions.

I was told that things must first get worse to get better,

It’s almost as if I can’t breathe,
everything has come to a standstill,
very dull and grey,
the only thing that I've ever known has been
stripped from me.
Crisp fall leaves have lost all color,
our last conversation was gruesome
final words keep replaying over, and over
and over again...
'this headache is stifling.
When I'm sleeping, I feel so relieved,
at least for a little while
because the pain seems to subside
until I open my eyes again,
I stare blankly at my white walls-
Slowly, I begin to take one more breath everyday,
wondering if he's wondering about me?
not really,
it is time for a fresh star,
I can feel a smile coming on,
something that has been foreign to me for a long time
