Blessed enough to breath in the sweet smell of Honeysuckle,
my nose is intrigued and a smile warms my face.
In amazement, the sun's radiance is my spotlight and
the rest of the world awaits my show.

Through music my story is painted,
vibrantly coloring the high notes,
sinking low notes, and those in between

flaws help growth,so that one day,
admiration will be within reach.

As anything is attainable in the presence of belief-
I plan to climb the highest mountain,
swim across the bluest sea.

I'll encounter new places and see new faces,
maybe I'll become rich or
become a dancer or a famous pianist.

So many possibilities are offered to me in the wonderful thing called life-
rain kissed leaves, or nights on the town
venturing to Italy to see the most meticulously
built tower.

But I want to thank you, life, for giving me my mommy,
my beautifully made sister who favors my features,
thank you for blessing me with rich, caramel skin.

I love who I am and who I'm becoming-
everyday, my eyes search intently for what
lies ahead in this life that I live.
