Spooked
Chapter Two
"A teddy bear..?" Sophie questioned as she picked it up. "Ew, it's wet!" She shrieked as she threw it at the wall. Right before it hit the wall, it stopped, as if a presence caught it. "Who's there?" I asked while I stepped toward the bear. "Why would you think of throwing Darrin?" I heard the faint little voice say. "I'm... sorry?" I said. "I'm Ellen, Elizabeth's little sister." She said. Sophie grabbed the pen and paper and drew what Ellen looked like. She had long, blonde hair, about 4'5", faded blue eyes, and had a pale blue dress. I, unfortunately, could not see ghosts, but Sophie told me I had a 'way' to get them to talk. "Were you the one who wrote 'help' in my room?" Sophie quietly asked while I kept Ellen entertained. "No... I've been in Miss Violet's house for a little while...." Ellen replied. "Do you know who was in Sophie's house then?" I asked. "No.. I'm sorry.. I wish I could tell you..." Ellen thought for a second. We heard the door shut when Ellen ran to my room. "Hey, girls!" my mom said cheerily as she put her purse down on the table. "Hi, Mom!" I said. "I'm sorry I came at such short notice, Auntie Carol..." Sophie said with a touch of nervousness in her voice. "Aw, Sohp, don't be sorry!! How could I not let my own neice stay over?" Mom smiled. "You're the best, Mom! We already ate but we'll be snacking!" I said as we ran to my room. "Okay, girls!" Mom laughed as she sat down to pay the bills. Mom didn't really know the whole 'Sophie and I can communicate to ghosts' concept, but she knew about ghosts and that we were interested in them."Well, now we have a new friend. Let's get her used to the place!" I giggled as I turned on my computer and went to iTunes. We were busting out to Determinate when Ellen phased in crying her eyes out. "What's wrong???" We shouted. "Miss Sophie... Y... your house..." Ellen cried as she pointed to a big puff of smoke. Sophie and I screamed as we ran down stairs. "Mom, we are going to be right back!!" I shouted as we grabbed out bikes and rode as fast as possible to Sophie's place. We both started to cry when we saw 5 fire trucks at Sophie's house putting out a fire. A fireman ran out to us with a note. "Someone left this..." he said while we read the note. "Now you can't do anything to find me. Who knows where I'll come up next?" we read aloud as soon as the fireman returned to his post. Now we had a problem.
