I met him when I was 4.
He was my best friend. We were always together. Always. He had a major problem with his kidneys. We played Hide & Seek, Mommies & Daddies & Teddies. Everybody teased us. When I was 4, we got 'married'. I dressed up in a white dress, he dressed in a Chinese suit. We kissed once for a second & danced. We took it seriosuly. He used to kiss me on my hands & my cheeks & I thought it was completely normal. When he moved house he told his mother he'd have to check with his 'wife' beforehand. He divorced me in seniors. I can't remember what I was like. I became best friends with a different guy. He wasn't that nie but I thought he was so good-looking. I was 5. I didn't stay friends with him for long. Then me & my old best friend got remarried. In second class, we walked around the yeard hand-in-hand, he told the good-looking guy I liked him. He was jealous and made up lies. I was furious, embarrased & extremely annoyed. I wasn't friends with him. Next year, we were friends, we played with different people but we knew we were still friends. Next year, we became better friends. Stopping to talk to eachother every now & then. Next year, we were best friends again.
I was happy. But then he said he had to move to America. I believed him & I wasn't that sad.
Until now.
It was ages since he moved & I got an email from him today:
He told me he was growing a moustache & has spots all over his forehead.
He says a girl asked him out because he was a girlfriend in Ireland.
He says he might have skin cancer.
He said he was growing up.
I have cried a lot since I got that email today.
I miss you.
