My cousin has a mental disorder. His brain ages twice as slow as a regular human's. He is 11 now and only knows the first 5 letters of the alphabet, and he also looks a little different. Yesterday, I was out on a walk in town with my cousin and his sister, my other cousin. While we were in town, some people started pointing and staring. They Looked around my cousin's sister's age. My cousin's sister instantly got agitated and asked the people why they were pointing and staring. They asked what was wrong with my cousin, and she said he had a learning disorder. One answered "so he's like.. retarded?" and they all started laughing. My cousin answered " At least he has a heart, unlike you. And At least he knows right from wrong, unlike you. And At least he doesn't get his self esteem from putting other people down, unlike you. So yes, he may be a little different. But I'd much rather be him than you, any day." then she started walking away, and she took his hand and whispered "I love you, don't ever let other people ever bring you down" my little cousin smiled and said "I love you more."
