Summer’s Secrets
Chapter 2
O God, O god! I’m gonna hyperventilate or
something.
This is the first time they’ve
contacted me outside of the meetings.
What does this mean?
Are they becoming
softer?
Maybe they’re willing to give my
mother back?

If you do exactly as we say, you’ll get back
something we took. Have fun.
This gives me no choice. I have to say yes to
Luke.
Even if I end up hurting him.
“Luke? We can defiantly hangout. Is
Friday good?”
I feel terrible. But if this gives me a chance
to have mom back, I have to do this.
Luke’s face lights up in excitement.
“Fridays perfect. Can I pick you up at
5:30?”
He says, trying not to show his
anxiousness.
But I say in confusion,
“How would you
pick me up? We’re only 15."
“Don’t worry. I’ll handle it.”
“Wow impressive. So suave.”
"What can I say; I’m used to girls saying yes.”
He says jokingly.
“Oh, so I wasn’t special?” I feigned sadness.
"I don’t think you want the answer to that. I
gotta go or I’ll be late for English.
Bye Summer.”
“Bye Luke.”
He’s sweet. Maybe this won’t be a bad thing?

Summer’s Secrets
Chapter 1
“Hey your Summer, right?
I look up to see a tall guy,with sea blue eyes, chestnut hair
and dark red lips.
Ugh my name. A stupid name to pick considering I was
born in December.
“Yeah I’m Summer.” I respond lamely.
I keep wondering what this guy wants.
I’ve been the new girl since October. I wonder why he
would wait 2 months to talk to me.
“Yeah, um I’m Luke Brooks, and I was wondering if you
wanted to go to the snowflake ball with me? Its on the 16.”
Awwww. How sweet.
Its on the 16….Crap I have the… wait, but maybe I can get
out of it. No I can’t. They would be angry at me, and I
couldn’t afford that right now. Not ever since September,
when Ava ruined everything. I’m lucky they moved me to a
new town.
“Luke, I’m sorry you seem like a nice guy but, I cant go.”
“Oh, are you seeing someone?” Luke says with a wounded
expression.
Ha. Like I would ever be aloud to date someone.
“
No, its not that, its just…..I’m gonna be out of town on the
16th.”
“Oh, ok. Maybe we can do something this weekend?”
“Yeah, sur-* beep beep.
I checked my phone.
*ONE NEW TEXT MESSAGE.
