The Zombie Diaries
Chapter 3
We all sat in silence, no one knowing what to say or really what to do. Everyone was either in tears or on the verge. I squeezed Emmas hand and whispered "Its gonna be ok." "Katherine.." Zac startled me because he barley ever said my name, it sounded like there was a stranger there. "Yea?" I asked. "Im sorry for almost talking about your sister earlier." he said, i could tell he really was sorry by the look in his eyes. "Its okay Zac." i said looking away from him. "Its not just ok Katherine, the only reason i ever bring that night up is because i dont know why you hate me after all that." he said. I felt shocked, but also bad for giving him hell after all hes done for me. "Im sorry i couldnt say Melissa to, i wish i wouldve gotten there sooner, but i did stop them from doing anything to you." The more he talked the worse i felt. "I-im sorry Zac, i just, everytime i see you i have flashbacks from that night and i, im just sorry". i replied. "Its okay.." he said leaning in hugging me again, but this time instead of me running into his arms, he hugged me. When he let go for some reason, i wish he hadnt. We made eye contact for a moment before i jerked my head away from his. "No Katherine you cant like him." i said to myself. "Were here." Josh announced. We all jumped out Josh, Matt, and Zac helped Emma into the hospital while me and Rebecca followed close behind. As soon as we walked in a couple of doctors rushed over. "WE GOT ANOTHER ONE GET HER TO THE ER!" one yelled. "Wh-whats going on." Emma asked confused, probably from all the blood she lost. But before anyone could comfort her they rolled her off on a strech. "WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HER WHATS GOING ON WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE GOT ANOTHER ONE I DEMAND SOME ANSWERS HERE!" Josh screamed. We all had to pull him to a chair. I walked up to the main desk. "How may I help you ma'am?" she asked like it was a normal day and people wernt getting bitten. "Uh yeah we check a girl Emma in is she ok, are they almost done with her?" "Hmm probably not the hospital is busy at the moment with all the so called "zombie" bites." she said as she didnt just see us helping Emma here who had a huge btie mark. "Zombies?" i asked. "Thats what they say, it seems everyone who gets bitten dies, but they--- oh my i shouldnt be telling you these things go sit down your friend will be fine and should be in recovery soon." she said shooing me off. "What was she talking about?" i asked myself. "So what did she say?" Zac asked. "She said, that anyone who is bitten...usually..dies." I said. Everyone had shock and fear in there eyes. "No." josh said,"Please no." We all sat in tears waiting to hear the news of what happened to our friend. Just then a doctor came out through the door. "Josh Roberts?" He said. "Yeah thats me." "Ive got some news, you might wanna sit down." the doctor said in a low voice, as if it was bad news.
