Last Moments
A Short Little Vignette by Me
My hand touched his, enveloping his palm in mine. It was doing that thing again, my hand. It was shaking as the tears ran down my cheek like little raindrops. My eyes were the clouds. Grey, almost hollow like, clouds.
His breathing got slower, every minute or so, his chest would shakily grow, and then decrease. I could see the tears in his eyes too. They were hardly visible. He was trying to hold back tears, trying to show that he was not weak.
I wanted to tell him that it was okay to cry, okay to not show strength, but my mouth could not form the words. The last moments of his life were nearing closer. The horrific wallpaper and the pasty smell of the hospital were no longer in my mind, as my focus was only on him.
His eyes slowly closed, and his hand fell out of mine. I could tell he wanted to say goodbye, but his life ended before he could.

I don’t know what’s happening. My life seems like it’s falling apart.
My dad is currently dying with cancer.
My best friend was diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa yesterday.
One of my guys friends committed suicide.
My cousin had a miscarriage.
