The Roommate
Chapter 4:
I was on my way to meet Lindsay at our favorite cafe. When I opened the door to the cafe I saw her sitting at our usual table. I walked over to her and sat down lazily in the chair across from her.
"Hey girly!" She said.
"Hey." I said back.
"What's wrong?" She asked concerned.
"What's wrong is that you set me up with your boy cousin as my roommate and didn't even tell me he was a guy!" I whispered yelled at her.
"Oh please Ainsley it isn't that big of a deal!"
"Um yes it is!"
"You need a man in your life and this seemed like the perfect way for you to meet one! Plus he is my cousin and I know better than anyone that he is perfect for you!"
"If you went to all this trouble why couldn't you just tell he was a guy?"
"Because if I did you would have backed out and you know that's true."
"Ugh fine...but I still am mad at you!"
Lindsay laughed like she knew I really didn't mean that.

When lunch was over I was walking back to my apartment when I bumped into a really cute guy.
"Oh I am so sorry." He said.
"Oh no it's fine don't worry about it." I said feeling myself blush.
"Are you sure you all alright?" He asked worried.
"Yea I promise." I said laughing.
"Okay well I am Ben by the way." He said.
"I am Ainsley."
"Nice to meet you."
"You too."
We talked for a little bit longer until we exchanged numbers and he promised to call me. At that moment I had completely forgotten all about A.J and his charm.

The Roommate
Chapter 3:
A.J showed me to my room which was average sized. Unfortunately we had to share a bathroom. I unpacked my clothes and decided to leave my cosmetics and bath appliances in a toiletry bag. When I finally finished I logged onto my facebook account to see if Lindsay was on. When I saw that she wasn’t I decided to go to bed.

I woke up the next morning and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. I was having trouble with the bathroom lock so I left the door unlocked assuming A.J was still asleep. When I striped down I turned on the shower and jumped in. I started getting the shampoo out of my hair when the bathroom door burst open. I screamed when I saw A.J in the bathroom. I attempted to cover my naked body but it wasn’t really working.
“What are you doing in here?” I yelled over the water.
He unzipped his pants and ran towards the toilet.
“Sorry I really had to pee.” He said.
“Well you should have knocked!” I said.
“Sorry I am not used to having a roommate!” He said innocently.
I noticed him exploring my naked body with his eyes.
“Ugh just get out!” I screamed.
He walked out a shut the door. When I was done with my shower I quickly changed and walked into the kitchen where I found A.J sitting drinking coffee.
“I don’t mean this in a pervy way but you’ve got a nice body.” He said with a cocky grin.
“You are such a perv.” I said laughing.
“Hey you can’t call me a perv you don’t even know me.” He said throwing his hands up like he was surrendering.
“Well since we are roommates we should really get to know each other.” I said with a smile.
“Yeah I’d like that.” A.J said with a flirtatious smile.

The Roommate
Chapter 2:
I woke up the next morning to find myself lying on the floor of my brother’s apartment. My phone started to buzz so I answered it.
“Hello?” I said groggily.
“Hey Ainsley it’s Lindsay.”
“O hey.”
“I just wanted to tell you that my cousin said its totally fine if you move in. My cousin lives at the apartment over McFadden’s bar so you can have your stuff sent there.”
“Really?!” I asked getting extremely giddy.
“Yep.”
“I’ll have my stuff sent there later today.”
“Okay byee!”
“Byee!”
I hung up and ran home to break the news to Kelly. When I walked in I saw her sitting on the couch in the living room.
“Kelly I am moving out.” I said slowly.
“Great because my friend wants to move in.” She said cheerfully.
“So you’re not mad?”
“No not at all.”
“Okay well I am gonna be packing up my stuff.”
When I was finished I called up my brother to burrow his truck. When he got here he loaded the truck and I was off. When I arrived there I nervously got out of the car and walked up the stairs to the apartment. When I arrived at the door I quickly knocked. I heard footsteps and a quick turning of the locks and then the door opened to reveal an extremely hot guy shirtless.
“Can I help you?” He asked.
“Yeah um do you live here?” I asked nervously.
“Yeah.” He said starting to sound annoyed.
“Are you Lindsay’s cousin?”
“Yeah wait are you Ainsley my new roommate?” He said smiling widely and checking me out.
“Yeah I guess I am.”
“Well I am A.j.”
“Hi.”
“I’ll show you to your room.”
“Great thanks.”
“After you.” He said pointing towards the way.
As I turned I noticed him staring at my butt. I rolled my eyes. This guy was such a player and I knew exactly why Lindsay set me up to live with him. She wanted me to fall inlove with him.

The Roommate
Chapter 1:
“I really need to move out of my apartment with Kelly, Jake.” I said over the blasting T.V. in my brother’s apartment.
“Ainsley how many times do I have to say that it was a bad idea to move in with our cousin in the first place.” Jake said.
“ I know, I know your right but I never thought in a million she would be this annoying.”
“Well maybe you should start thinking.”
“Yeah whatever I got to go I am meeting Lindsay at the mall.” I said and with that I left my brother’s apartment. I got into my car and drove to the mall hoping that Lindsay, my best friend, would know somebody that I could move in with since her apartment was already filled with our friends. I arrived at the mall and parked my car next to Lindsay’s.
“Hey.” She said when I climbed out.
“Hey ready to go shopping?” I said.
“Of course!” She squealed and I laughed.
We shopped for 2 hours until we got hungry and stopped at the food court.
“You know Ainsley you really need a boyfriend.” Lindsay said.
“Says the girl who has had a boyfriend for a week.” I said.
“Yeah but you are always so lonely you need a man in your life.”
“Okay Lindsay whatever you say.” I said snickering.
“I’m serious.”
“Okay but I need to find an apartment and someone to share it with so rent won’t be too high.”
“You’re moving out?”
“I’m trying to.”
“Oh I know the perfect person!”
“Really?”
“Yeah they have an apartment already but need some help paying the rent.”
“Who is it?”
“My cousin.”
My phone started to ring. I looked at caller ID. It was my brother.
“Sorry Linds, I got to go bye.”
