I'm one of the few girls who doesn't sleep around. I'm not easy, because I don't care what people have to say and I don't
care if people think i'm a prude. I don't smoke weed or do molly because if you think i'm uncool for keeping my head on
straight, you're not my friend anyway. I don't go out and drink every weekend because I'd rather not end up wrapped around
a telephone pole with a beer in my hand. I avoid all of this stuff because it's not "part of being a teenager" it's part of being
a complete idiot. So don't tell me to loosen up, when it seems like you're the one who needs to tighten up.

Chapter 26
"That was the cooliest thing ever!" I shouted jumping up and down like a kid
"I know, right?!" Cammi shouted back.
"I can't believe I'm an actual werewolf! Like what!"
"We should go out!" Cammi suggested.
"Yes yes yes a million times yes! Should we invite the guys or have it be just us?" I asked her.
"We should invite the guys. Try using your mind thing with Jace and ask him."
"Jace?" I asked.
"Baby, is that you?" I could almost here the smile in his voice.
"Yes, holy crap! This is so cool!"
"I never thought I'd see the day where I can hear my mate's voice in my head." He chuckled.
"Cammi and I want to go out tonight. Do you and some of the guys want to come?" I asked.
"Yes. There's no way I'd let you go out alone."
"Be ready by 10 or we'll leave without you!"
I blocked him from my mind.
"He said we can! So let's get ready!" I cheered. I can't remember the last time I actully had fun.

It took us about an hour to get fully ready. I was dressed in a small, tight, black dress. It was a tank top and stopped just below my butt. I know Jace's not going to approve, but all well. I never get to go out! My hair was wavy and I had a smokey eye.
Cammi was wearing a tight red dress. It was the same length as mine, but hers had a scoop neck in the back. Her hair was straighten. We both had black pumps on.
We made our way down the stairs and into the living room. All the boys were sitting on the couch watching tv already ready. Derek, Scott, Jace and a few other guys were coming out with us.
"You guys look smokin'!" Derek shouted.
"Thanks." We both said.
"No way. Avery you need to go change. There's no way you're going out with that dress on. It's way to short!" Jace shouted. I knew this way coming.
"I never get to go out! I'm wearing this!" I shouted back.
"Avery." He growled.
"Knock it off, Jace. I'm not changing. Now let's go." I said, turning around and walking for the front door.
I didn't stop walking until I got outside and to my car.

The ride there was filled with mindless chatter and we arrived there in about a half an hour.
"I want to get drinks before I dance!" I shouted to Jace as we walked into the club.
"Okay!" He shouted back.
We walked up to the bar and I ordered a vodka redbull.
I chugged the first one down no problem. Since werewolves can burn off alcohol faster than humans.
After my next couple of drinks I was ready to dance.
"C'mon babe let's go dance!" I shouted grabbing his hand and pulling him to the dance floor.
I grinded my butt against his manhood. Causing him to groan and pull me impossibly close to him. We continued dancing for about an hour. All the while we kept getting drinks. I was finally starting to feel tipsy.
"Cammi!" I shouted over to her. She was dancing with her mate.
"Yeah, babe?" She shouted back.
"Come dance with me!" I yelled over the music. I took a couple steps towards her.
Jace wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards him.
"Let me go." I huffed shoving him off me. "I need some space."
I ignored him and walked to the bar. I ordered some shots and sat down.
"Bad break up?" Someone asked me.
I turned and saw a very handsome guy. He was a little older than me and had black hair. It shorter on the sides and longer on top. His green eyes were piercing and he had a very prominate jaw line. If I wasn't with Jace I would definitely go for him
"Just guy trouble." I mumbled smirking.
"You're to pretty to be having guy trouble." He replied, moving a seat closer to me. Now he was only a seat away from me.
"Why are you here, alone, at a club? Did you have a bad break up?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nope. Just out having fun with a couple of guy friends. Saw a lonely pretty girl at the bar and had to come make sure she was alright."
"I'm alright. Want a shot?" I asked, smiling.
I know I was being dangerous and Jace could come over here and kill him. But I wanted someone knew to talk to.
I'm soooo so so crazy sorry!!! School starts in less than one week and I'm trying to get organized. I also have something personal going on in my life making it even harder for me to write. I had to force myself to write so I could finish this chapter for you guys! This story is ending in about 3-4 chapters! xoxo!

Chapter 27
"Oh my god! You're kidding." I shouted, laughing.
"Nope. It really happened." He replied.
"That girl really punched you in the face?!"
"Yep. Pretty sure she broke my nose, too." He said.
"I'm sorry, but that's to funny!"
We've been talking for about 15 mintues now. I wonder where Jace went, all well.
"I never did get your name." He said.
"It's Avery." I replied, smiling.
"I'm Justin." He said. "Can I get your number?"
"Um.." I know I shouldn't be giving him my number, but he's a really nice guy. Also he's a human! "Yeah sure."
I gave him my phone and he gave his. After I put my number in his phone I handed it back to him.
"Avery, what the he// are you doing?" I heard Jace growl.
"Talking to a friend." I replied.
"Come on. We're leaving now." He said putting his arm around my waist and pulling me to him.
"Sorry Justin. I'll see you around." I smiled waving bye to him.
The entire car ride home was silent. I can at least have friends! Jeesh.
As soon as he parked the car I jumped out and run into the house. I slammed the door to our bedroom shut. I pulled of my heels and unzipped my dress, letting it fall to the floor. I walked to our bathroom and washed off my makeup and grabbed a towel from the shelf next to the shower and slipped of my under garments. I started the shower and climbed in.
With my now super hearing I heard the door to our bedroom open.
"Avery?" Jace called out.
I heard the bathroom door open and him walk him.
"Can I help you?" I asked.
"Yes, actually. I want to take a shower with you." He replied.
I didn't answer so he climbed in.
"I'm sorry for earlier. Now that you're a werewolf I'm more protective of you. I didn't want you dancing with Cammie. I wanted you all to myself. When I saw you talking to that guy I got jealous."
"You're my mate I would never leave you." I sighed, smiling up at him.
He grabbed my face with his hands and kissed me on the tip of my nose.

I slipped on the only black dress I owned and fixed my hair into a pony tail.
"Are you ready to go, babe?" Jace asked from the doorway.
"I'm never going to be ready, honestly." I replied.
"I got something for you." He said. He held out a long, black, velvet box.
I looked up at him with a smile on my face. "You didn't have to get me anything."
"I know, I wanted to."
I took it from his hand and slowly opened it. It was a silver heart necklace and had a diamond in the middle of it.
"Oh my gosh! It's gorgeous!" I gushed.
"Here let me put it on you."
He pushed my hair to the side and put my necklace around my neck. He easily fastened it.
I turned to face him and put my hands on eaither side of his face.
"I love it and I love you." I said and then kissed him. "Now come on we're going to be late."
The entire ride to the Colton's funeral was silent. Only a handufl of people were going.
Colton's parents, grandparents and a few of his friends.
"If you feel your wolf taking over squeeze my hand and I'll get you out of there." Jace said once we were in the car.
The passed couple of days whenever I got mad or even sad my wolf would try and take over. It's been really hard for me.
"Okay. Thanks babe."
Colton needs to be put to rest so I can get on with my life. I know his death wasn't my fault, but I still felt bad. He was a human being, even if he didn't act like one.
2 more chapters! Well one chapter than the epilouge! Thank you everyone for all the support! ALSO, school for me starts Tuesday. I'm hoping to get the epilouge up by Tuesday/Wednesday.. Chapter 25
I sat down at the table shoving the french toast I made earlier into my mouth.
"Hungry?" Derek said walking into the kitchen.
"Starving." I said with a mouth full of food.
I shoved that last bite into my mouth and then put my plate in the sink.
"Why do I feel like so hot?"
"Werewolf body temperature is hotter than humans." He shrugged.
"Which means you'll be turning soon." Jace said walking into the kitchen.
"Soon?" I asked. "How soon?"
"Sometime today or tomorrow." He replied.
I walked up to Jace and wrapped my arms around him, breathing in his sent. I can't believe I let Colton take me.
"Oh Avery, the cops told me you could have this back." Derek said, pulling something out and tossing it to me.
I caught it in my hands. It was my pocket knife.
"Where did you get this?" I asked, confused.
"The cops picked it up from the place Colton held you captive at." He said.
"My knife." I breathed out running my fingers along the blade. "I remember!"
"What? What happened?" Jace asked.
"I didn't bring a weapon to school with me like I planned, but I did have this pocket knife. I shoved it into the back of my pants before Colton got me so I would have some type of weapon. He choloformed me and I woke up tied to some chair!" Jace growled at that, but I kept going.
I quickly explianed to him what happened.
"I remember getting the gun back from him and shooting him before running out of there. I just can't remember if I got him or not." I said with a sigh.
"Avery.." Jace cautiously said.
"What? What is it? Is he still out there?" I asked nervously.
"Not exactly." He said.
"He's in jail isn't he? I want to go visit him. I want to finally rub it in that he can't control me anymore" I stated.
"He's not in jail. When you shot him.. You.." Jace stuttered.
"I what!" I shouted. Why can't he tell me? I shot him.. so what?
"He's dead.." He whispered.
"I can't.. I couldn't have done that.." Did I really hit him when I shot him? I didn't think I did.. Derek and Jace stayed quiet. I took a couple steps away from Jace. He's lying.. That can't be true. I couldn't have killed him.
"You're lying to me."
"You're my matey. I wouldn't lie to you!" He shouted.
"I know Colton abused me, but that doesn't mean I didn't love him and care about him!" I shouted back at him.
I was getting angry. I fell in love with him before the abusing happened. I just can't fall out of love with him! I tried taking a deep breath, but it didn't work. All I could hear was my heartbeat in my ears and my racing pulse.
"Avery, you need to calm down." I heard Jace say.
I tried taking another deep breath, but I wasn't calming down.
"I can't." I whispered. I felt a wave of pain shoot through my body. I let out a whimper.
"She's changing into her wolf!" Jace shouted.
"We have to get her outside!" Derek said.
"Don't touch me!" I yelled. It felt like my skin was on fire.
"We need to get you outside, baby." Jace whispered to me.
I nodded my head and let him pull me outside.
"It's going to hurt really bad for about a second. But after that you'll be fine." He encouraged me.
I took several steps away from him. I felt something in me begin to surface. After a second of pain I felt my myself change.
I looked around and saw Derek and Jace staring at me with smiles on their face. I looked down and saw two paws on the ground.

Chapter 23
Jace's Point of View
"Avery!" I shouted running over to her body that was curled up in some man's arms.
I had to stop myself from growling at the sight. I kneeled beside her. Oh god. There was blood everywhere.
"Baby, it's going to be alright." I soothed to her.
"The ambulance is on the way." They guy said.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"I don't know. She just came running down those appartment steps screaming "Someone help me" I caught her in my arms before she passed out. The ambulance should be here any minute."
"Thanks.." I started.
"Johnny." The guy said.
"Thanks Johnny." I repeated.
Just then Cammie and Derek came running through crowd.
"Oh my god, Avery!" She shouted stopping a couple feet in front of us. Tears were pouring down her face. Derek just stood their frozen.
The ambulance pulled up about a minute later. They quickly got her on a stretcher and put her into the ambulance.
I climbed in with them and just stared at Avery. Her body looked so weak and fragile.
They were working quickly on her body. Why did I let her go to school today?

Avery's Point of View
"Jace?" I asked looking around the room. "Where's Jace?"
"Right here, baby." He said from the chair beside my bed. He looked like a mess.
"Why am I here? What happened?" I asked panicking.
"You don't remember what happened?" The doctor asked writing stuff down on his clipboard.
"I remember fighting with Jace about going to school. I remember talking with Scott at lunch, but after that.. I.. I just don't remember."
"Sometimes the brain does it to protect itself. You might remember what happened and you might not. All we know is that you were found stumbling out of a random appartment with a bullet shot wound in you shoulder and slash in your side. You also had some major and minor bruising." The doctor said. "Excuse me there's an emergency."
"I got shot?" I asked Jace.
"Yeah." He replied. "But the woud is healing quickly so you need to sign youself out so they don't suspect you of anything."
"Crap I forgot about that." I said with a sigh.
"When you feel up to it we'll leave okay?" He said.
"Yeah, sure. Why am I not feeling pain?" I asked him.
"Because I'm making you feel what I feel. I'm sort of pushing it on you so you don't feel the pain. And also they have a lot of pain medicine in you." He stated.
"Something really bad happened to me didn't it?" I asked him, looking down at my hands in my lap.
"Yeah. but c'mon we'll talk about it when you're home." He said standing up from his seat.
"Wait. I remember. A man. There was a man after me." I whispered remembering I was fighting for my life against some guy that I can't remember.
After I got dressed, with difficulty, I was ready to go. I refused Jace's help. I don't need help getting dressed.
Jace lead the way out of the room and I was a few steps behind him.
Once I was in the hallway and saw the commotion I got nervous. Anyone of those guys could have hurt me. I grabbed onto Jace's arm with a death grip. He spun around so fast it almost gave my whiplash.
"What's wrong?"
"Anyone of these guys could've hurt me." I whispered.
"None of these guys hurt you." Jace said seriously.
"How do you know?" I asked.
"Because I know who hurt you. I'll explain in the car, okay?" He said. How could he possibly know who took me? I mean the last thing I remember is being at school and he wasn't even at school.
"I would like to sign myself out." I said to the receptionist.
"That's not a good idea. You have serious injuries, miss." She replied looking at the computer.
"I feel more comfortable at home. Can I please see the sign out sheet?"
She mumbled something under her breath before she pulled out a form.
I quickly signed it and handed it back to her. I didn't let go of Jace's hand all the way out to the car.
"Do you want to talk about what happened?" He asked lightly on our way home.
"Sure." I replied.
"That guy who took you was your ex boyfriend Colton. I shouldn't have let you go to school alone and unprotected. He showed up at your school and took you. Scott said you whispered Coltons name than got up and left the lunch room. You were gone to fast and he couldn't really follow your sent."
"Oh." I whispered. I guess in the back of my mind I kind of figured it was him I just didn't want to admit it to myself. "Do you know what happened to me when I was there?"
"No. I got there when you were in some guys arms passed out." He replied. "He stayed with you until the ambulance came. He was a really nice guy."
"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when you're at the house." I mumbled closing my eyes.
I know this isn't very eventful, buuuuut I have something that you've all been waiting for next chapter!! xoxo

Chapter 21
"I said I love you." I said seriously.
"You better not be lying Avery because I swear to god.." He said.
"Usually when someone says I love you, the other person says it back." I joked. He was making me nervous. What if he doesn't love me? Well, he is my mate. That means he must love me too, right?
"Of course I love you!" He said. A smile spread across my lips.
Once we were back into town he pulled into a parking lot and stopped the car.
"What are you doing?" I asked, confused.
"Come for a walk with me." He said.
I changed out of my heels and put on a pair of flip flops I had in his car.
Once we were out of the car he pulled me into his side and put his arm around my shoulders. I put my arm around his torso. We began walking threw the streets of downtown. The fair was still going on so there were a bunch of people around.
He began rubbing my arm up and down. I suddenly got turned on. I noticed a few people began looking in my direction.
"We need to go." He snapped. He pulled me in the direction of the car.
I didn't protest all the way to the car. I didn't want to cause a seen in front of everyone.
Once we got there he pushed me up against the car.
"What the heck was that?" I asked, confused.
"You're in heat, babe." He said.
"I- What? Is that why I got turned on so easily?" I asked.
"Yeah. You smell so good." He moaned nuzzling into my neck. When he leaned back I wrapped my arms around his neck. I leaned up and pressed my lips to his. He immediately began kissing me back. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him waist. His now hard member was pressing against core causing me to moan. He kissed down my neck to the spot where he marked me and sunk his teeth in again. It didn't hurt this time. I moaned because it actually felt amazingly good. He pulled back breathing heavy.
"Now you're heat will come faster." He said smirking. "Now let's get you home."

"I"m going to school!" I yelled at Jace.
"No you're not. You're fully in heat now! All the unmated males will be attracted to you!" He shouted back.
"I've missed the last 2 weeks! I'm going!" I shouted.
"I can't go to school because I have pack business to take care of today and since I can't go there's no way you're going." He said, trying to calm himself down. I could see that he was fighting with his wolf about control.
"I'm going!" I shouted, stomping out of the room and down the stairs. I felt like absolute crap, but I can't miss anymore school. If I miss to much school they won't let me go to the next grade and I've been waiting forever to actually be a senior.
I pulled up the hood of my hoodie. My hair was lifeless. It didn't have any body to it. I was really pale and weak.
I walked into the kitchen and went to the fridge. I got Jace's orange juice and took a sip of it.
"You look awful." Cami said to me.
"Gee thanks." I replied.
"Avery Grace!" Jace growled from the doorway. I rolled my eyes and walked around him. He needs to calm the f*** down. I mean seriously. It's not like I'm going to the mall by myself. I'm going to school! He can have someone protect me. As long as I get to go to school. I grabbed my bad and walked out the door to my car. I wonder why he's not following me.
My body began aching. Ugh. Seriously?!
I opened the door and got in. I put the key in and prayed that it worked. I haven't driven since before I met Jace. Which was over 2 months ago. I turned the key and it started up. I turned up the radio and drove to school.
Everyone turned to look at me as I began walking into the school.
My body was aching so badly right now. All I wanted to do was snuggle up with Jace and watch a movie.
The beginning of the school day went by fast and now it was lunch time.
I walked into the cafeteria and saw Scott sitting at our usual table. I made my way over there. I dropped my bag onto the table and sat down.
"Avery? What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Going to school?" I replied rasing my eyebrow.
"I heard you and Jace screaming at each other this morning about you coming." He said smiling.
"Of course." I replied playfully rolling my eyes. "But I obviously wont that argument."
I looked out the cafeteria door and into the main hallway.
I saw Colton standing there smirking at me. My blood ran cold and I had the sudden urge to throw up. I moved my bag from the table to the seat next to me. I forgot to put a weapon on my today! I slowly took the small pocket knife out of my bag and slipped it into the back of my jeans.
"What's wrong? You look like you've just seen a ghost." He joked. Do I tell him? Or do I go over there and take of this myself?
I put my hand over my mouth and whispered Colton's name, but so quiet only a werewolf can hear. Also know as Scott.
I looked up at me shocked and mouthed "Where?"
"Hallway." I whispered back. "If I don't come back. Call Jace and come looking for me okay."
I got up and made my way to where he was standing. When I get close enough I can stab him. Just like he stabbed me.
I stopped when I was about 10 feet away.
"What's the matter? Why won't you come closer?" He asked, looking hurt.
"You. You're psycho." I spat.
"Why don't you come with me, princess?"
"No thanks." I replied, smirking.
"You don't have a choice." He replied. He pulled back his jacket to show he had a gun in the waist of his pants.
Crap. I should have thought this through before I walked over to see him! He roughly grabbed my arm and put the gun to my side. I took a few deep breaths trying to calm myself. If you panic then you end up not thinking straight.
Once we got to his car he shoved me and walked around to the drivers side.
"Sorry, babe." He said than put a cloth to my face.
That motherf**ker cholorformed me!

When they opened my eyes it was pretty light in here so I had to adjusted to it. I was definetly in a basement.
I tried moving but couldn't. I looked down and saw that I was tied to a chair.
This situation was seriously p!ssing me off.
I really hope Jace is on his way.
"How was your nap babe?" Colton asked standing across from me.
I groaned, annoyed with him. I'm not afraid of him anymore. Now that I know how to protect myself and that I have Jace.
"Since it was a forced nap it was just faantastic!" I shouted sarcastically.
He pulled back and slapped me across the face. I grinded my teeth to stop from swearing in pain.
"Is that the worse you can do?" I spat at him.
"This is just the beginning, babe." He smirked.

Chapter 20
"Try leaning into the punch, alright?" Jace suggested.
I got in my stance and punched the punching bag in front on me, leaning into the punch as Jace told me.
"Better." He said.
"Break time!" I cheered. I was beyond tired we've been practicing for a couple hours now. I can feel my body getting weaker, which means I'll be going into heat soon.
I grabbed my water bottle and chugged the rest of it, feeling a little better.
"Why don't we go out?" Jace asked as we were walking out of the gym.
"Like out? You mean I get to leave the house?" I gasped.
"Only because you'll be with me." He replied smiking.
"I need to go get ready!" I shouted turning to go upstairs. I turned back and gave him a quick kiss before going upstairs.
I ran up the stairs and to our room. After my parents passed away we went to my house to get all my stuff that was there. I had my own walk in closet now! I searched through my clothes until I found the perfect outfit. (link below)
I layed in on the bed and hopped in the shower. Once I was out I blow dryed my hair and left it wavy.
Now time for makeup. I swipped on some mascara and blush. After that I pulled on my outfit and slipped on some black pumps. It's been a while since I've worn these babies.
I grabbed my clutch and put my phone, lip gloss, and some money in it then made my way downstairs.
"Daang baby girl!" Cami shouted as I walked into the kitchen. "What's the occasion?"
"Jace's taking me out!" I cheered.
"Like it went so well last time." Derek snorted. I didn't even know he was in here.
"Shut up." I snapped rolling my eyes. I honestly don't want to deal with him anymore. He was only trying to get between Jace and I from the beginning.
"Hi guys." A girl said walking into the kitchen.
"Hi Carly!" Cami and Derek said.
I turned and grabbed the orange juice out of the fridge. I twisted off the cap and took a big gulp.
"Alpha Jace isn't going to be happy. You're drinking his orange juice." The girl cautiously said.
She must not know who I am.
"I don't think he'll mind." I replied smirking. Cami and Derek burst out laughing from their seats at the table.
I put the cover back on and put it back in the fridge.
"Soo who are you?" I asked narrowing my eyebrows. I wanted to tease her a little bit.
"Carly. I'm new to the pack." She stated.
"Have you guy seen my keys?" Jace asked walking into the kitchen.
"No." Cami, Derek, and I replied at the same time. He groaned then walked to the fridge and pulled out the orange juice.
"Alright who the f*** drank my orange juice?" He growled.
"She did, alpha." Carly said pointing at me.
I let out a hoot of laughter. Of course she would squeal on me. Jace took a couple of steps in my direction with an evil smirk on his face. I tried taking a step backwards but my back hit the counter.
"Avery would never do that would she?" He grinned. He put his arms on either side of me, trapping me.
"Me?" I fake gasped. "Defy you? Never."
His face was a few inches away from mine. I could feel his warm breath on my lips. His body wasn't touching me, but it was extremly close to mine. I pressed my body against his causing him to let out a moan. I stood on my tip toes and gently gripped his ear with my teeth. He let out a sharp breath. I gently pulled on it.
I leaned back and shoved him off of me with a smirk on my face. He stumbled a little bit, but caught his balance.
"What the he// was that for?" He shouted.
"How come you didn't tell her who I am?" I asked.
"I haven't had the chance! You know the huge thing that just happened? I didn't leave your side!" He growled.
"Oh," I mumbled, feeling bad. "I'm sorry. When she didn't know who I was I got mad."
"What do you mean he didn't tell me who you are?" Carly asked, confused.
"I'm going to be your luna soon." I replied smiling. Her mouth dropped open and her eyes got wide. "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I didn't know and I was so rude! Gosh I am so sorry!"
"Don't worry about it." I said smiling. "You didn't know."
"You're buying me new orange juice." Jace mumbled.
"Can we leave now?" I asked.
"Yeah once I find my keys." He replied.
"They're on your night stand, babe." I smirked and went into the fridge and pulled out his orange juice. I opened it up and took a big drink. He ripped it out of my hands when I was in the middle of drinking it.
"What the he//!" I yelled at him.
"No one drinks my orange juice except for me." He said.
"And me. Bye guys. I'll see you later!" I shouted to them walking out of the kitchen.
Jace went upstairs to grab his eyes and I went outside to wait for him. It was chilly out, but I didn't mind. I haven't been outside in forever.
He took me to a nice resturant. We ate and made small chat throughout the meal.
"Bite?" I asked holding out the spoon to him. We were sharing dessert. It was a brownie with ice cream, hot fudge, and whip cream.
He opened his mouth and I fed him the bite.
"I never thought I'd let a girl feed me." He mumbled scowling.
I smirked and took a bite of my own.
"Looks like the big bad Jace has changed."
"Only for you." He said. "Oh god. That was way to cheesy."
"No it was cute. I loved it." I said smiling. "And I love you."
"You what?" He asked shocked.
Well that's not the reaction I wanted.

Chapter 19
"When's she going to wake up?" Jace growled. "It's been 2 days!"
2 days? I've been out that long? I tried to keep my breathing even so that he would think I was still asleep. Should I break it off with him or wait for him to do it because I know for sure he's not going to want me after this. I mean he just found out I was pregnant with my ex!
"She should be waking up any minute now." The doctor replied.
"I need water." I choked out. My throat was like the Sahara desert.
"Avery!" Jace gasped running over to me. The doctor handed me a glass of water. After I drank it I looked up at the doctor.
"How did everything go?"
"Everything went good. You're no longer pregnant." He said.
"Thank you." I smiled warmly up at him. Jace growled, but I ignored him. "How long until I'm healed?"
"Well since you're marked you're body's getting ready for you to shift. You're healing almost as fast as a actual werewolf so about a day or so. You're going to be a little sore though." He stated.
"Once again thank you doctor." I smiled.
"Please call me Jeff." He replied. "I'll be going. If you need anything don't hesitate to call me."
Once he left I looked up at Jace. He was looking at me weirdly.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"You seem fine. I just thought you would be in pain, or sad I don't know.." He said.
"I'm not 100% alright, but I'm doing good. I just want this issue with Colton to be over with."
"Do you want to come upstairs and watch a movie with me?" He asked.
I looked up at him shocked. "Really?"
"Why are you shocked? Of course I want to watch a movie with my mate." He smiled.
"I just.." I stuttered. "I didn't think you'd want to be with me after all this."
"Hey," He said lightly grabbing my face with his hands. "Of course I want you! No matter what happens."
He doesn't want to break up with me? What a relief.
"I need clothes. I can't leave this room with this ugly thing on." I said pointing the gown I was wearing.
"Here." He said handing me one of his shirts and sweatpants.
Once I was changed he carried me upstairs, afraid that I would hurt myself. He layed me me down on our bed and climbed in next to me.
"Within the next couple of days you're going to be going into heat." He said a couple of minutes later while we were watching the moive.
"What's that?" I asked, confused.
"It's your body getting ready to mate. Your hormones go crazy. With some people they don't feel good, or they feel exhuasted. It's different for everyone. Also all the male werewolves without mates will be extremly attracted to you since they can smell your hormones." He said.
"Then after that we can fully mate?" I asked.
"Yep." He replied.
"You should train me how to fight tomorrow." I suggested.
"No. You''ll be too sore. How about the day after that depending on how you feel?" He asked.
"Sounds good," I said. "Can you get Cammi in here? I want to talk to her and I miss her."
"Yeah one second." He said. It was quiet for a minute before he spoke again. "She's on her way."
"What? You didn't even do anything." I said.
"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you! I can connect with my pack through my thoughts. I can also block them from it."
"That's so cool!" I shouted.
"Avery! I've missed you!" Cammie shouted running in the room.
"I've missed you too!" I said hugging her.
"Anything interesting happen since I last saw you?" I asked.
"Yes!" She shouted. "I found my mate!"
"Oh my god Cammi! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you! I have some news also!"
"I'll leave you girl alone to have some girl time. Just be down for dinner, alright?" Jace said from the doorway.
"Okay, babe." I replied.
"Spill!" Cammie shouted jumping on the bed to sit across from me.
"Once Jace and I fully mate I'll be a werewolf just like you!" I yelled happily.
"Yay! I'll finally have a girl wolf friend! Most of the girls around here are super stuck up." She cheered. "How are you holding up by the way with everything that's recently happened."
"I'm doing good, because of Jace though. I don't know what I'd do without him."
"You are so in love!" She shrieked.
"No way!" I said rolling my eyes. We've been together for more than 2 months now. Was it possible for me to love so soon? He's not just a regular guy though. He's everything I could ask for in a guy.
"You do! I'm your best friend! You can tell me anything!"
I do love him...
"Yes. I love him." I said.
Sorry for the crappy chapter.. I know what I want to happen but I don't know how to get there! UGH! Also sorry for being late with my chapter): Hope you guys liked though!

Chapter 18
I woke up and the feeling of nausea overtook me. I shoved Jace's arm off me that was crushing my body and ran to the bathroom.
"Avery?" I heard him say from the bedroom.
The bathroom door was closed and I didn't have time to wait so I opened the door and ran right for the toilet.
"He- Avery are you alright?" Derek said from the shower. I heard him get out and felt him hold my hair back for me.
After getting sick for a few more times I looked up and saw Derek was only in a towel.
"Where's Jace?" I ignored that and asked, weakly.
"Walking down the hall right now." He replied. I pushed myself up and held the sink to hold myself up. I rinsed out my mouth and brushed my teeth.
"Are you alright?" Jace asked running into the bathroom.
I ignored him and ran for the toliet again. Jace came up behind me and held my hair for me.
"What do you think is wrong with her?" Jace asked Derek who was sitting on the tub.
"She could just be sick?" He asked.
"I marked her last night there's no way she is just sick." He replied.
"You're really going through with that? Having her go through what we have to except worse!" Derek shouted.
"Go call the pack doctor. I told him he could have today off." Jace growled ingoring what Derek just said. While they were talking I didn't stop puking. I've never been like this before. Could Jace's mark do this to me?
"It's alright, baby." Jace soothed rubbing my back. "The doctors on the way."
"I've never felt this sick in my entire life. What's wrong with me?" I mumbled inbetween getting sick.
"I have no idea." He sighed.
Just then the doctor came walking into the bathroom. "You have to bring her to my office, now." Jace picked me up in his arms and carried me down the stairs and into the office. He layed me down on one of the beds.
"I'm going to put and iv into your arm because with all this vomitting you're going to get dehydrated."
I flinched slightly as he stuck the needle into my arm, but it didn't hurt as bad as I though it was going to.
"Okay what happened?" He asked taking a seat beside me. I closed my eyes taking deep breaths as another feeling of nausea took over.
"I marked her last night," Jace answered for me. "and she woke up puking this morining. I have no idea what it could be."
I tightened my grip on the bucket beside me on the bed.
"I'm going to give her some medicine for the vomiting to stop, but I have to put it in with the iv because I don't want her vomiting it up. It should work within the next 10 mintues." He said. putting the medicine in my iv bag.
"Why am I so sick? Was it because Jace marked me?" I asked slowly.
"I'm not sure yet. I just wanted to make sure you were comfortable before I ran any tests." He said. After the doctor took my blood he went into a different room to run some tests. A sharp pain in my stomach made me double over.
"Ow, Jace, it hurts. Make it stop." I cryed squeezing his hand.
"I have your blood test for you." The doctor coming back with a clip board. I suddenly felt wetness pool between my legs.
"How come I smell blood?" Jace asked confused. He pulled off the sheet that was covering me. The wetness between my legs was blood!
"W-why.." I stuttered "Why is there blood between my legs." I was most definitely not on my period. Period. I can't remember the last time I had mine. It's always been irregular so I guess I never thought about it.
"Well what's wrong with her?!" Jace growled at the doctor.
"She's pregnant." He said. My jaw dropped, literally.
"Get it out of me." I spat. "I don't want it." Jace and the doctor looked at my like I had 3 heads.
"Don't just stand there! Get it out of me!" I shouted at the doctor.
"What's wrong?" Jace asked lightly grabbing my face.
"The baby's Colton's" I whispered, tears beginning to stream down my face. He's the only guy I've ever been with. "That's why I don't want it. I don't want to be tied to him. If I have his kid then I'll be tied to him forever and I can't have that. I'm finally free."
I looked up at the doctor. "There's something else.." He said. "You're having a miscarrige. Once Jace marked you, your body began regecting the baby causing you to have a miscarriage. But I should operate on you. It will be much faster and hurt less."
"Okay, do it." I said. "Can I get out of this bed and a change of clothes? I don't like being covered in blood."
"Here's this hospital gown to put on." He said putting one on the bed by my feet. "I'll go get the operating room prepped and come back for you."
"Can you help me out of bed?" I weakly asked Jace. He picked me up bridal style out of bed and set me on my feet on the floor.
"My little angel." He whispered lightly stroking my cheek with the back of his pointer finger. While the other hand was placed on my hip preventing me from falling.
"Can you help me take my clothes off?"
He chuckled. "Oh how I wish this was an entirely different situation." I let out a little giggle as well.
He pulled his t-shirt that I put on last night over my head leaving me in only panties.
He groaned. "Sorry." I mumbled covering myself with my arms.
He lightly pulled my arms away from my body. "Don't ever hide from me." He growled.
I started feeling dizzy so grabbed his upper arms to steady myself. "I want to shower. I feel gross." I mumbled.
"After. Let's get you dressed and into surgery now." He soothed.
I finished getting dressed and made my way into the surgery room with Jace.
How is Jace going to want me after this?

Chapter 17
After 3 hours of Scott training me he left to go take a break. He insisted that I take one to but I said I didn't need one.
I need to learn all of this and be prepared for when Colton comes back for me. They have a room next to the gym with targets and stuff. That's where he's been training me for the passed couple hours.
I loaded up the small gun in my hand and held it out aiming at the target. I got in my stance and took a deep breath before shooting. I hit the bulleye perfectly.
My dad used to have guns for hunting. He taught me how to use them when I was younger, but I needed this as a refresher. We spent the majority of the time going over how to use knives. After a couple more sessions I think I'll be all set.
I set the gun down where it came from and pulled down my hair from the bun it was in.
"So this is where you've been." Derek said from behind me.
"Yep. Now excuse me I need to go shower." I said turning around and walking towards the door.
"Oh no you don't." He said grabbing me by the waist and pushing me against the wall. "What are you doing down here?"
"Training myself what does it look like?" I snapped at him. There was no was I was sqeauling on Scott the guys would kill him.
"You could get hurt." He breathed against my neck.
"I'm training myself to not get hurt anymore! I'm sick and tired of being weak!" I shouted at him.
"You're not weak. You're human." He snapped back at me.
"Well not for much longer." I grunted trying to push him off me.
"What? What do you mean? That's not possible." He said confused. I finally shoved him off of me.
"After I mate with Jace I'm turning into a werewolf just like you guys!" I yelled at him. I threw open the door and stomped through the gym. A couple people gave me weird looks, but I ignored them and continued walking until I got to the upstairs bathroom. I slammed the door behind me. First I get angry with Jace then Derek what the heck is going on with me?
"Avery open the door." Jace growled from the other side.
"I don't want to talk." I said.
"I don't care. If you don't open this door I will kick it down." He growled.
I unlocked the door and open it.
"Are you alright? Did anything happen to you? Are you hurt?" He said hugging me.
"I'm fine. Just oddly emtional and I don't know what's wrong with me." I mumbled into his shirt.
"A lot has happened to you in the passed couple weeks. It's alright." He soothed.
"I'm starving can we go get something to eat?"
"Let's go." He said and grabbed my hand pulling me out of the bathroom.
"What do you want?" Jace asked picking me up and sitting me on the counter.
"A grilled cheese." I said just as my stomach rumbled.
"Got it." He said.
I hopped off the counter and began looking in their cabinets for some chips. I found some and got back on the counter to watch him cook.
"Earlier in the woods how come you didn't mark me?" I asked with a mouth full of chips.
He chuckled than looked at me seriously. "I'm wasn't sure you were really ready. I thought you were just in the heat of the moment. Plus now that you're my mate you're going to help me run the pack. You're called a Luna. I asked the guys not to call you that yet until we mate though."
"Really? I get to help you run the pack?" I asked, excited.
"Yeah." He replied.
"That's so amazing!" I cheered.
"You're not mad?" He asked confused.
"No! I'm excited! I was always a control freak so this will be perfect!" I smiled.
In one swift moment he picked me up and spun me around.
"You're amazing!"
He placed me on the counter and pressed his lips to mine. I wrapped my legs tightly around his waist pressing myself to him. I let out a moan.
"You're food is burning." Derek said walking into the kitchen.
"Crap!" Jace shouted and ran over to put it out causing me to almost fall of the counter.
"Yeah I'm good thanks." I mumbled jumping off the counter. I walked over to the table and sat down across from Derek.
"Why did you run off earlier?" He asked.
I glared at him telling him that I didn't want to talk about this in front of Jace.
"Once you told me what was going to happen you just stormed off, why?" He asked. Of course he didn't listen to me.
"Because I didn't feel like talking." I said blunty. I don't want to get close to him becuase than I'll have feelings for him and I can't especially becuase I'm with Jace.
"Are you going to mate with Jace and turn into a werewolf?"
"Listen Derek. I'm with Jace. You can't keep trying to wiggle your way into my heart. It's not going to happen." I snapped. Jace came storming over. Great.
"I know you're my best friend, but she's my mate so leave her alone." He growled pulling me up from me seat and into his arms. He pulled me out of the kitchen and up the stairs to our room. He layed us on the bed.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Doing what I should have done a long time ago." He said kissing down my neck. "It's going to hurt for a second."
He sunk his teeth into my neck. I clenched my teeth and let out a hiss of pain. He licked where his teeth sunk into my neck causing it to heal.
"There now I marked you." He smirked at me.
