C h a p t e r 23
We broke apart, I was panicking. “Just sit down in one of the seats,” Zach told me as he walked to the door and opened it.
“Uncle.” Gregory Creed was the principle of our school and also Zachs uncle. He was a man in his late 40s with grey hair. All the students loved him because he was pretty cool.
“Zach, son, why was the door locked?”
“It wasn't, I've been having problems with it for a while now, it gets jammed and you need to open it from the inside,” he lied.
“Oh, I'll get someone to take a look at it. I see your busy, I'll speak to you later.”
“No, it's alright, Logan was just leaving. Logan, don't let it happen again.”
I got up from my seat and smiled, sweetly, “Of course not, Mr Parker.” I walked out of the room, sighing heavily.
That was so close, we could have been caught.
I don't think it occurred to me when I decided to partake in this game that both Mr Parker and I could get into a lot of trouble if we were caught.
My hands shook as I walked to lunch and found Grace, Courtney, Jasmine, Rachel and Sasha all talking. “Where were you?” Sasha questioned.
“Mr Parker kept me in,” I shrugged.
“What for?” Rachel asked.
“I was texting someone in class and he caught me.”
“Yeah,” Courtney said, smirking. “Who were you texting? Your boyfriend?”
“Yes!” I exclaimed quickly.
“You have a boyfriend?” Jasmine asked.
“Well its not official,” I said, hoping they'd drop it.
“Can we meet him?” Courtney sweetly, asked.
“I guess...” my voice trailed off.
“Great! It's settled!” I just smiled, weakly. Why had I said that? Right now, I was extremely mad at myself but I would have to tell Courtney at one point that Mr Parker and I were together – if he did eventually ask me out.
“I'm going to go bathroom!” Grace exclaimed. “Logan, come with me!” I followed Grace as we walked away from the girls.
“What is going on, Logan? A boyfriend? What were you thinking!”
“Grace, seriously, why thevfuck does everything I do matter to you! This is my life, I can make my own decisions!” I blew up.
“You're being a stuck upvbitch!”
“How?!” I cried out.
“You're using him, that goes against everything. You have more class than that!”
“Does it really matter to you if I'm using him?”
“Yes!”
“You don't understand why I'm doing this. I need to.” Grace glared at me, never have we ever fought with each other.
“I get that you're being a selfishvbitch and you're going to break his heart!”
“Grace-” I murmured.
“No, when you decide to stop using him, come and talk to me.” With that, Grace walked off leaving me standing there with my mouth wide open.
