I don't see why coming out is such a big deal
For example, I've been bisexual my whole life
so why should I randomly make a big announcement to my family about it?
I don't even wait for it to be a secret anymore
I'll just be talking to a friend and say "there's this guy I like"
because it's the same thing as liking any girl.
And it's not like you have to come out for being straight
because that's the same idea, right?
And how would my sexuality change who I already was 10 minutes ago?
It's not like once I "come out" I'm going to burn down every church I see
or try to kill the governments that don't support my sexuality
    do you know why?
    Because it doesn't make a f/cking difference.

    How To Kiss A Boy:
    1. Grab his waist.
    2. Pull him closer to you.
    3. Look into his eyes.
    4. Look at his lips while biting yours.
    5. Look back at his eyes again.
    6. Grab his face gently.
    7. Slowly lean in and whisper into his ear:
    "The Lannisters send their regards."
    8. Stab him in the chest while his mother watches.

This is an actual radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995. Radio conversation released by the chief of naval operations, 10.10.1995.
Canadians: Please divert your course 15 defrees to the south to avoid a collision.
Americans: Reommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the north to avoid a collision.
Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the south to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: This is the Aircraft Carrier US LINCOLN, the second largest ship in the United States Atalantic Fleet. We are accompanied with three Destroyers, three Cruisers and numerous support vessels. I DEMAND that you change our course 15 degrees north. I say again, that's one-five degrees north, or counter measures will e undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.
Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call

it's really weird that we have created a stereotype of what a witty user should be like.
they can be generalised (or so the top quotes have told me) as a sad single teenage girl who is unhappy with her body and life, feels socially awkward and unattractive, and stays inside on the internet instead of venturing out into the ~*~scary world~*~ of the outernet
and if you're like that? that's cool, as long as it is healthy for you.
but as a rule, staying inside being sad on the internet all day is really, really bad for people. and while it's nice that Witty is a place where these people can be accepted, it's not cool that the community romanticizes and normalizes stuff like that to the point where people who don't fit into that cookie cutter outline of what a wittian should be like are made to feel isolated and like they shouldn't be on here at all.
okay, i have a lot of friends. i never go a weekend without seeing at least 3 people. there is a boy who likes me and i also like him. i don't eat a lot of nutella and i genuinely enjoy getting out of the house and being in social situations (even though i do things like opening the door without pants on sometimes.) i don't fit in on here.
there are quotes like, "some of you are really attractive, why are you on the internet?" and "some of you are probably just pretending to be unpopular to be accepted on here" doing the rounds, and i think that maybe you should all consider that some people who aren't insecure/single/lonely/awkward/sad are just on the internet because they enjoy the internet, and that one should not not have to be any of those things to be accepted into this community.
basically, don't make people feel bad for being happy with themselves or having friends - they belong on here too. as long as you're not on this website to hurt people, you deserve to be here. it's okay to not be sad. i love you all a lot.

I think one of the saddest things is when two people really get to know each other: their secrets, their fears, their favourite things, what they love, what they hate, literally everything, and then they go back to being strangers. It’s like you have to walk past them and pretend like you never knew them, never even talked to them before, when really, you know everything about them.

give us this day our welfare bread
and forgive us our ASBOs as we happy slap those
    who give evidence
    against us
and lead us not into employment
    but deliver us free housing

    I found this on tumblr:
A solider posted this as his status this morning:
Some people are asking me what I think about Syria, so here it is.
I'm tired. I'm tired of people watching their children grow up via Facebook and Skype. I'm tired of hearing aman tell his wife 'I love you' followed by 'I missyou' for an entire year. I'm tired of watching the military divorce rate shoot sky-high. I'm tired of overhearing some teenager tell his mom 'I'm going over there." and hearing her cry from 20 feet away. I'm tired of Veterans waiting years to get the help they deserve and need. I'm tired of empty seats at Christmas dinner every other year and anniversary presents in the mail flying overseas. I'm tired of new men and women walking around with invisible wounds that don't heal.
Our flag is a beautiful thing - but I'm tired of seeing it draped over a casket. I'm tired of men and women missing pieces of their bodies, minds and souls.
