Chapter Three
She woke up in a very warm car, Andrew's arms around her, and leaning on Brandon's shoulder. She yawned and stretched, her long brown hair falling in her eyes. Brandon looked up. 'You have pretty eyes, Sissy.' She looked at him, slightly stunned, he looked back down. 'S-sorry, I mean Juliet. ' She looked at him. 'No, don't take it back, it's just, the only person who ever pays real attention to me is Andrew.' She smiled at her sleeping twin. Brandon looked up at her, while she watched her sleeping brother, with adoration in those sparkly, green eyes.
Brandon watched her, excited. He'd asked his parents for younger siblings for a long time, he hated being alone. I mean, sure, he had quite a few friends, but that wasn't the same. when they had gone into the orphanage, he'd been ecstatic, and he'd run over to the windows, to see all of the kids outside. That was when he spotted Andrew and Juliet. They weren't doing anything special to catch his attention, or anything really strange. He just saw them, running around together, smiling and laughing, just like he'd seen all of his friends do with their siblings. He couldn't stop watching the way they were together, how happy, how content they looked. Side by side, they were a team, you could tell. He couldn't stop watching them, but it made him curious. All the time, when his family had been going to the orphanages, he had never seen two kids like that together before. The lady saw who he was watching, and pointed out that they were Andrew and Juliet, and they were twins. The lady had never seen a woman abandon both of a pair of twins. But she couldn't leave with her, she looked so distressed, and poor. She'd trusted their mother, they had her sparkly green eyes.
Brandon watched her rub the sleepy eyes, and played with her wrinkled clothes. He looked out the window. 'You should wake up Andrew, we're nearly home. And don't worry. Mumma got our interior decorator to decorate your rooms, and get you guys clothes.' He said, grinning to himself. Juliet, watching his reflection, smiling. She started to shake Andrew awake, when he laughed and tickled her. In the back of the car, on the way to their new home, all you could here were those three children, squealing with laughter.
As they drove into the driveway, all thee children were still laughing, uncontrollably. Brandon sat up, recognizing his friends standing on the lawn, watching them all curiously. The first two boys he noticed were Collin and Nathaniel.They had all known each other since they were born. Collin was the tallest of the three, and the ringleader, but he wasn't 10, he was three years older, making him 13. He was pretty tall for age still. And had scraggly blond hair. But something about him amazed little Juliet, she couldn't tell if it was how amazingly different he was to his sister, or those blue eyes. She just sat there, looking at him. She gripped Andrews arm, and begged him not to take her out there. But they took her out anyway, Andrew knew she had always been shy, especially after learning about what her mother had done.
And this day, was the first time she was used to people being around
